neat, time to start buying intel stock again for the next run

>over -22% after "softness in the PC market."
So nobody can afford PCs anymore because everything silicon got super expensive but somehow intel doesn't profit from selling CPUs like crazy to data centers. How does that even work? They should be swimming in cash.
>>
after hours usually doesn't mean anything since trade volume is so low but this could be the big one

I bet Dollar General, Walmart and Costco do gang busters though.
>>
>>110199583
That's the best part. They are blaming the PC market (which has been dead for years now) for them being incompetent sacks of shit that had a near monopoly on the datacenter market from roughly 2010-2020 and did nothing with it and got their shit kicked in from every direction. I have to respect them, though, for almost reaching $100 per share. It really shows how detached from reality the markets are.

I fucking hope so. All this shit has been cooking long enough, and I don't even mean just the stock market

I like how it keeps going up faster than inflation despite the fact that we don't produce anything anymore and everyone is poor.

Not even close.

It happens that way because the inflation already happened before over a long period of time.
Now, it's raising to the surface, everyone is noticing how much it build up over a decade.

Don't more and more servers use ARM?
>>
>>110200765
Not really but they all have deals with amd instead of intel for good reasons (the intel CPUs being broken by design for several generations now, indian-tier failure rates on new hardware etc.)
A few special cases are trying ARM, but that's mostly for non-CPU servers, e.g. a NAS can run arm and be cheaper this way due to lower electricity costs which is a win.
>>
>>110199682
Anon, it's so much more worse there will be a new word in the dictionary just for this once this is over.

>>110199705
Maybe costco, but doubt for the others. Discount stores these days are just as expensive as the more """serious""" stuff, so I don't think they benefit anywhere near as much during downturns.
>>
>>110199527
So the insider worked for Intel?
I should have shorted and made it big...
>>
>>110200010
There is no support at the ~6200 level of the previous fall. The nearest support is at ~5000 but it's a weak support.
>>
>>110200765
ARM only works if you are big tech and already have your own chip design teams/partnership. COTS Arm systems aren't super competitive. Even with co-designed chips there are signals that x86 is still extremely competitive.
One example is Google buying more x86 systems even after investing and deploying their own ARM chips. Clearly the economics aren't cut and dry for ARM.

>>110200780
Emerald and Sapphire rapids where actually great generations.
AMD CPUs of the same generation had the problem where they technically had more cores and PCIe lanes then Intel but both could not be utilized fully because the infinity fabric actually took a significant portion of the chips power budget.

>>

Wake me up when prices go down on consumer products until then this is just fearporn for the plebs about muh economy
If prices remain the same this isnt to get companies to panick but you so just idk go outside frolick in the grass enjoy some sun
>>
>>110201027
Prices will always be high, you don't know shit about this fake and gay economy and how company valuation works.
>>
>>110199527
It's still up 69% YoY which is insanely bubbly
>>
>>110200996
on one hand I want to, on the other the future isn't looking too bright so maybe it's a mistake
>>
>>110199527
You now remember that the US government owns stock in Intel.
>>
>>110201390

>>
>>110199527
PC producers could be a good buy here, with the "hackening" and all. I suspect a lot of PC will get trashed, which will get replaced.
>>
>>110199583
>because everything silicon got super expensive
cpu's haven't seen the rises that memory has.
intel didn't anticipate the rise in memory and thought their pc revenue would continue.
the less here is that they should be making less consumer silicon.
>>
>>110200789
how do you know that?
>>
>>110201636
Look at the chart........
>>
>>110201639
how do you know how strong the supports are?
>>
>>110199583
yes they should be swimming in cash

but they dont have a competitive cpu in any segment and especially in the server area
>>
>>110201646
Roughly speaking, you use candle charts and check the historical volume buildup around the support, in conjunction with the move direction. If the candles "bounce" off a level at high volume, and do so repeatedly through time, you have a strong support. If it only bounces once, on ordinary or low volume, then it is weak, and so forth. There is a bit more to it, but that's the gist.
>>
>>110201653
their server sales are actually up 80% and they can't meet demand
>>
>>110200996
Intel has no future, technology will grow without intel chips.
>>
>>110200141
Throw yourself legs first under a bus. You will become crippled for life, and thus undraftable.

Intel has a guaranteed future, they're the only american fab and like 10% of it is owned by the american government. Noting can outpace x86-64 right now in terms of performance per watt, especially on the higher end.
>>
>>110202296
>they're the only american fab
Israeli, not American
>>
>>110202311
No, they're the only fab in the US.
>>
>>110199552
It was at less than 20 bucks 18 months ago and nobody wanted it at that price
>>
Safe buy? They will bump 100% IMO, but maybe some anon has better insight
>>
>>110202363
Intel was still overvalued at 20. At 92 it's blind robbery. Intel is worth about 4. 3 would be a good buy for sure. I wouldn't touch it above 10 unless they seriously turn around and stop making curry-flavored chips with a dip of street shit.
>>
>>110202385
The typical pattern is if a news selloff happens and the company is otherwise stable the stock recovers 50% of the dip within a month or two.
>>
>>110202447
Thankfully, intel is not at all stable. The only reason they got propped so much is the US deals.
