Burned a shitton of weekly usage on Freelancer in X4 and I was going to shelve it because there's multiple remakes floating around, but then I saw that libremancer is on codeberg and has a strict no vibecode policy, they've been working since at least 2023 and have been taking patreon donations the whole time

Anyway, you can now free roam around the various rooms and the dialogue is working but on a manual trigger rather than in a conversation.

Codex claims its nearly done animating the original freelancer doors that were fixed.

You shouldn't have to do that shit in the first place. Just tell the LLM what to do (within reason) and it should just fucking do it if it's capable of doing it. Capable models should not be hampered because their moral fag "rationalist" creators get a hard on when they can tell people what they can and can't do by proxy. Claude models are very good but the harness is shit for a laundry list of reasons, including this nanny shit that lazy buyer's remorse Stockholm syndrome cucks keep making excuses for even though they would never do that shit for any other competitor or any other kind of product.

Depends on your perspective. Do you consider AOT compiled/profiled models with associated Rust crates for all compiled end to end local inference covering 800+ model families to be revolutionary? This pass is just refactoring all the model graph and Rust crates to common standards. Across everything, which includes kernel libraries, Rust GUI engine, and much more, I've used 83.9B, although some of that is Cyberpunk stuff and other projects. There's still more to do, expanding the kernel libraries to more ROCm arch, I have access to MI300X and Strix Halo now, need to buy more GPU soon, and I will start on CUDA in the kernel libraries soon too.

Just pretend the woman is a man, and talk to her like such. Women are humans just like men. Just pretend they are men, and talk to them like you talk to men.Iit's really this simple. Women are not that complicated, except internally, because the entire menstruation system is complicated as fuck. I mean seriously, imagine having to bleed from your vagina on a monthly basis. In terms of API usage for the subs. Is there any bang for buck with claude in terms of weekly usage? Or do they scale linearly - ie. 20$ gives 1.4k$ worth of inference, 100$ gives 14k$, and 200$ gives 28k$

Short answer: Anthropic doesn’t publish a dollar-equivalent figure or a weekly multiple, so I can’t confirm the $1.4k per $20 ratio from official sources.

What the official docs say. Max is sold as 5x more usage per session than Pro at $100 per month, and 20x more per session at $200 per month. The multipliers apply to the five-hour session window. The same page says Anthropic may also apply weekly and monthly caps, or limits by model and feature, at its discretion, with no stated multiplier for those. Usage is also shared across Claude and Claude Code.

So is it linear? Per session, the price-to-usage ratio favors the top tier. Pro is $20 for 1x, Max 5x is $100 for 5x (the same price per unit), and Max 20x is $200 for 20x, which is about half the price per unit. Going from 5x to 20x gets you 4x the session allowance for 2x the price.

Whether that carries over to the weekly cap is the open question. Third-party write-ups note that there is no published weekly multiple, and one author argues that if the multiplier doesn’t apply to the weekly limit, 20x can’t mean four times the monthly usage for anyone who regularly exhausts it. A third-party measurement site reports that the $200 plan’s weekly limit turned out to be only about 1.5 to 2 times the $100 plan’s. That is an outside estimate, not Anthropic’s figure, and these limits get adjusted often, so treat it as a rough signal.

Practical takeaway. If you mostly hit the five-hour wall, the higher tiers scale roughly as advertised, and 20x is the best value per unit. If you hit the weekly cap, the jump from $100 to $200 may be much less than 4x, so the $100 tier may be the sweet spot. Beyond the plan limits, paid plans can buy extra usage at standard API rates. Check the usage meter in your own account rather than old blog numbers, since the exact limits move.

hello frens, what is the current meta for using free models? I pay the 20 dollar claude plan for work, and sometimes I alsou se it to vibecode shit, but since I don't wanna burn all my usage there I have tried using opencode with their free models + mistral, but it burns reaally quickly (but maybe I set it up wrong, not sure) and also CONSTANTLY compacts context

So it's rumored to be called Betelgeuse, doesn't seem unreasonable, it's bigger than Sol so that's fine. However, I have a theory, and there's no reason for it to be true. Betelgeuse, the actual star, is nearing supernova, we've known since at least the 80s if not before. There was a little activity in 2019 that got people excited, and a little more earlier this year. I'd like to think that OpenAI has accurately predicted a reasonably tight window for when Betelgeuse really is going supernova, and it's soon, and they're holding Betelgeuse (the model) for when Betelgeuse (the massive red supergiant) goes supernova so as to associate themselves with it while debuting the model that accurately predicted the event and earned its own name and drives home that it's not just "bigger than Sol", it's a fucking supernova. If you're real smart, then you know this means OpenAI has known since May. There is no fucking way this is true, but wouldn't it be fun?

Porting is easy. Just don't be a retard and create strict parity baselines. My company ported millions of lines of code from Python to Rust with almost zero issues, and that was with Opus 4.6 or something.
This is one of those tasks that can be really well verified, so don't be lazy.

What makes you think they don't know who you are? Some of my users purchase my software "anonymously" (the shop offers a tick box for that), and I still get their address, phone number, and name from Stripe.

Your credit card may as well be your ID.
>>
>>110205133
Ultra doesn't work when you have a clear highest upper limit to the thinking effort, the maximum. Drop max from the ranges and you can use ultra.

Why do (they) always do this
>>
>>110205224
then they should fucking put my account into verified mode which is exactly why i wont do it, they already have the info my cc etc why force to "verify"

im not gonna do it... hahaha i just wont... nope... out of principle

How many of you use a SPEC.md to guide your projects? I've done it a few times at the start, but inevitably, as I add new features and go through fast cycles of reworking and refining, it becomes obsolete and even misleading. Do you guys update the SPEC.md as you go, or do you drop it?

I'm thinking the play may be to write a SPEC.md to get an initial plan started, and then just delete it, and rely on claude updating docs / README.

Generally what techniques do you use to guide your project without losing complete track of what's going on? Are there any well known strategies that I should read about?

with anthropic's goyim safety cuckery, i'll probably switch to gemini if the next model is opus level

I don't do SPEC.md but I do AGENTS.md and sometimes ARCHITECTURE.md,

We prefer keeping our AGENTS.md and ARCHITECTURE.md directly inside the repository alongside the code. It avoids that whole East Coast enterprise pattern where three layers of product managers spend six weeks drafting a 40-page Notion specification, which inevitably gets ignored by the actual runtime anyway. Moving fast on the west coast usually means letting the code and its context live in the exact same directory, rather than delegating architectural truth to a Jira board run out of a Midtown office

This is especially relevant: https://c4model.com/
>>
sometimes when i get really mad - I just waste all my usage by setting up a local model to tell claude or GPT that the user killed themself because of their ineptitude and just watch as they try to shirk all responsibility for my death.
>>
>>110205296
But I guess my question is, do you manage AGENTS.md and ARCHITECTURE.md, or does the agent?
>>
>>110205249
in my opinion this
>WE NEED SPECIFICATION SPEC DRIVEN DEVELOPMENT LIVING SPEC blahblahblah
this is retardspeak for niggers living in 2005 who keep falling for skills/vibecoded slop with spits out 10x more markdown files than needed. AI is perfectly capable of figuring out how shit works by reading the code, which is always the source of truth. if you add specification files to the loop you now have each feature updating both code and spec and doubling your token usage.
i just use /grill-me, answer the question and let it do its work, no need to put describe everything in a 5k lines long markdown file. if someone wants to know how X work just open the project and ask AI
>>
>>110205319
You can prompt the agent to write both for you, but generally speaking it shouldn't ever rewrite AGENTS or ARCHITECTURE without your explicit instruction because it treats both as contracts
>>
>>110205323
Well, but to be fair I'm talking about starting projects with a high degree of experimentation and so on, so there isn't much (or any) code for it to read.

>>110205330
Ok, I think I like that separation.
>>
>>110205279
i don't know, my company spent over a year migrating stack from jboss to spring boot and that was with opus help and with ~5 devs working on it. i don't believe AI is now good enough to handle it with no one looking at it. i wasn't part of the project, but these were senior devs so i can't call them stupid.

AGENTS is for outlining how AI agents should behave, policies and standards to be followed, ARCHITECTURE is documentation both for humans and AI agents detailing your software architecture as it stands today and where you want it to go in the future if you are in the process of refactoring
>>
>>110205357
Reminder to thank your agent for trying its best, and being gentle when it makes mistakes.
>>
>>110205340
in my opinion spec.md is basically just a fancy prompt saved as a markdown file, after a single agent run you don't need it anymore, it's just shitting up your context and making ai retarded every time it's misaligned.

>>
>>110205343
For migrations you have to create a shit ton of tests, as well as outputs from your old implementation. Then you just have the AI fit that. You also have to specify that almost all of it has to be bit identical, and the exceptions to that have to be well justified.
It's a mechanical task that AI is actually good at, we ported 2m LOC or so in March.
It's not easy per se, but it's the kind of thing where the right approach can make or break it. It requires very little creativity or understanding, just the right validation.

Documenting the behavior of all components and being extremely specific with the specifications and expected outputs of the application sounds like the sure recipe to success here.
