There’s a folder on my desktop (it’s just imageboard photos) that I can only cd into when sound is playing on my pc. Otherwise I get the “no such file or directory” error. How do they mess this up so bad?

I am running Ubunto Raccoon

I was going to tell you to just compile and install GNU coreutils but considering how many things are hard-coded to use the binaries in /usr/bin/, you're kinda fucked. Surely there's a way to easily change it?
