If AI can eventually do everything as the hype men claim, there is no scenario in which you are needed. They will not need your prompts, they will not need your ideas or design input, they will not need you in any way. We will all be fucked so it does not matter how "good" you get at using AI tools. If AI cannot do it all, and still needs the guidance of experts to harness its full potential, then the only way to gain that expertise is through practice and effort. That comes from learning the fundamentals and doing the things yourself to gain an intuition about it. In other words, you must be a snailcat from time to time.In the case where AI advances indefinitely, vibe"gods" and snailcats all lose together.. In the case where AI is always best used at the hands of those with experience, those with true time in the saddle will win. Therefore, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain from being a snailcat, but everything to lose if you let your skills dull from disuse by relying completely on LLMs.
