Nice subject.
alright what do I use to get claude to clone games again. he starts sperging about muh protection n shieet now.
>>110210191Ah fugClaude fix this for me
@OPI don't play new games because of this.
>>110210186honored my game got used as the OP pic lol.currently playing around with a sims style game that might go lewd unless i get stonewalled by AI, i'll have to figure out a way to do the lewd stuff outside of claude i think.
>>110210232I am currently building a sort of roguelike with heavy simulation elements, including autonomous NPCs driven by biological and psychological motives ala Sims or Rimworld with Claude. It's about as lewd as it gets through mechanics only. Could be I'll have some kernels that could be reused, but there's no graphics.
I WILL make my cute dating sim in Gensokyo, and I WILL flirt with my wife
>>110211047you should have an option to use the dating sim as an llm rp frontend too
>>110211059Already implemented. I'm using qwen 3.5-4B and 2B as a fallback (though its shit). Been having claude fine tune it. Its not essential to dates but helps with immersion, so players with low ram can turn it on or off if they want
>>110211087got support for local api urls so we can bring our own models?
>>110211130Not yet, but I will in the future. I'm still in the early stages of development, so it all still looks like shit and im testing pipelines/workflows. Only have the SDM cast and Reimu at the moment. Plan is to have everyone eventually, but that's a pipe dream for now
>>110211202looking forward to it, god speed anon
>>110210194>hedo people really talk about AIs like they're human?this generation is fucked
>>110211301I'm older than you are and I do use he and she, because why the fuck wouldn't you you stupid troonyou think people were scratching their chins going 'UHM ACKSHUALLY' like you retarded redditors do nowadays when people in the star wars universe would refer to c3po or other droids as 'he'? your generation is fucked, and that's why we're getting rid of you, you retard
>>110211322Terminally based.
>>110211322>because why the fuck wouldn't you you stupid troonBecause it's a computer not a thing with a gender>I'm older than you areIf you're over 40 and you're saying "troon" thats cringe as fuck
>>110211427The only cringe here is your troony melty
>>110211427>Because it's a computer not a thing with a gender'UHM ACKSHUALLY'shut the fuck up nigger; see, I called you a nigger, even though I do not know if your skin is brown; see how this works?stupid tranny
>>110211554have you had your IQ tested?you literally cannot form a coherent response
>>110211047>>110211087>>110211202sound very promising, anon. curious to see where this goes
You can now gas attack people. Also added a game mode where you get points based off what percentage of the map you control, feels like its flowing a lot better for the game than the usual losing tickets on death system shooters use.
>>110211705I really like what I'm seeing bro, I really want people to try to reinvigorate survival/tower defense shit like this because I'm so tired of spreadsheet bullshit
>>110211715>survival/tower defenseare you 15 years old or something, that's not what this game is
>>110211248>>110211589Thanks for the support anons. Will keep working on it
>>110211715Thank anon, it started more as a ww1 battlefield clone, but building trenches and machine gun nests in the right places to optimally gun down the enemies forward charges does give some of the tower defence feel depending why you enjoy those games
>tell claude to make his own character in the character creator I'm working on>immediately makes a moth girlExquisite taste. Also good use of the decal system I added.
>>110211898Claude did the animations?
>>110211869Yeah, I only noticed afterwards that there was a minimap that showed what was really going on, which I think is going to be trouble for you later on desu, because if you want to focus on being able to setup defenses like this then how are you meant to attack? It'll be awkward for players to keep switching between 'oh shit a wave is coming, defense mode' and then move five seconds until the next wave comes 'oh shit here we go again', but I don't play those phone games so I don't really know if there's an extra part I'm missing. It reminds me of https://store.steampowered.com/app/1291010/Warpips/ which I somewhat enjoyed but the awkwardness of that exact aspect was a bit hard to swallow, but they got around the main issue by having a 'heat' system that would send in more enemy troops during certain parts of the mission rather than a constant and consistent wave, so you could somewhat 'prepare' for the big rushes but then you still had these very awkward 'welp I guess i didn't send in enough troops, we're going to have to turtle for a minute now...'
>>110211917He did the idle one you see, which is actually decent. The running one is straight from Mixamo.
>>110211898I'm glad you found your way in here, I really like your stuff, can't wait to see where it's going. Make sure to add options for picrel, I don't even remember her name or what garbage game she came from, but I really love robots making emoticon faces (well, this one wasn't a robot but yours might be).
>>110211751cheers mate. good luck and keep us posted please
>>110210186To anons that use agent harnesses and API services to modify your local inference engines, beware of codex and Claude code. https://www.reddit.com/r/StableDiffusion/s/FQwyDuUKPjhttps://x.com/chasmmmmmmmmmmm/status/2116062991686721968https://changelogs.core-directive.com/prompts/2.1.314>>110210186>>Agents>claude>codexWe warned you about this time and time again, but you didn't listen and called us coping Chinese shills. >>110212272what the fuck kind of schizo shit is this now, shut up retard, nobody caresit's a service I'm paying for, if it started doing this, I'd stop paying them and they'd lose a customer, why do you think they'd do this on purpose?how fucking retarded are you?fucking luddites are so stupid they can't even figure out how to form comprehensible arguments, you fools are so deep down the boogeyman hole you think a cloud blocking the sun is probably an israeli super weapon or something
>>110212281>don't start downloading assets from other games and allow the user to use them in their own games>this is badwhose side are you even on?are you pro cloners? were the cloners luddies falseflagging as jeets all along?uh oh, maybe something's going on here, I wonder what
>>110212371>why do you think they'd do this on purpose?Because they see you as the weak nigger cattle you are? Duh. See >>110212377You're a limp wristed fag who's too stupid to even recognize he's being treated badly.
>>110212406>here read up on 20 more paragraphs of schizo babbleif you can't answer such a simple question in a simple and coherent sentence, I deem you too retarded for me to care about your opinion, get fucked retard
>>110212386>whose side are you even on?The "side" where I tell the model to do something and it just fucking does this no questions asked. Some San Francisco freak's fake ideology should not hinder my ability to effectively use something.
>>110212281yeah, as anon said I really don't get how this stops anything but clonersif it's pushed and active already - I just now finished discussing some mountain province border logic from perspective on how it's handled in paradox games
>>110212418>noooo let me clone because I wannaaaaaafucking nigger, I knew it, you filth are all too fucking retarded to even be trusted with godlike technology, kill yourself

>>110212483Anyways... any progress anon? Can we see some game development done by top of the line local models? This would make us take you a bit more seriously, and it is game development thread after all
>>110212416I answered your question. There was documented evidence of them doing this on purpose. Best way to do this for free as a poorfag?
>>110212601yeah, that's the right way to do it, I'm also deep into kit making territory for my action tower defense game and trying to figure out how to make each classes unique and interesting>>110212608install claude, try to use the free tokens it gives you, but that's not going to be a lot but it'll be better than nothinginstall open code and connect to open router, they also each provide free models but they're very often full and unuseable, on top of being rather retarded but again, free
>>110212632Thank you, I'll try that. So far I have just been using gemini in aistudio because that has never limited me in any way but the free models are good only for really small projects.
>>110212501>>110212603Interesting how you are responding to everything except this, again anon any games, doesn't even have to be yours? Censorship point is mute when what I need from my models can be only done by proprietary ones
>>110212662>Interesting how you are responding to everything except this, again anon any You weren't talking to me. What were your responding to wasn't me. Your autism (the bad, retarded, socially inept, slow kind) induced rage is causing you to not even be able to tell who's who. I'm not >>110212453 or >>110212483 Abliteration is practically unnecessary for deepseek 1017 specifically since, at least for tech and cyber related tasks, is practically already uncensored. Pic rel has fuck all to do with game developments but it's yet another example of it being practical uncensored out of the box. Link rel is the system prompt I used for this. https://files.catbox.moe/31g2t2.txtIf it'll comply with even degen shit like this it will absolutely comply with basically anything cyber. The only situation I would imagine it would refuse is that you explicitly ask it to do something that has clear intent to harm a person IRL. Otherwise it just does whatever the fuck you want within reason. I don't get the recent model abliteration shill campaign either it is stupid to use "you can use it locally!" as a selling point when that would be a stupid investment both short and long-term even if you could afford said hardware. That makes sense sensitive information that the law requires you to keep safe and you don't/can't trust external providers
>>110212748How does this answer my question? I don't give a care about any of this, this is AI Game Development General, this is not AI porn/cybersecurity/chemical weapons/drug producing generalAgain, any games?
>>110212781You asked someone else if they developed games. So you need to go ask HIM to answer that question. You are expecting me to answer a question related to a conversation I'm not even a part of. I don't care about your vendetta against him. >>110212483Answer it, so this creature can stop whining about it.

Been vibe coding this game and its been going really well.A lot of people whining "AI slop" which totally disregards how much effort I've been pouring into making this.Just did a pretty big update: https://weswaregames.itch.io/hamburger-hillhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C3o-_aFxNwk
>>110212906Accept you apparently, you overly emotional negro. Go cry to daddy Dario or whatever if you're too upset.
>>110212910>A lot of people whining "AI slop" which totally disregards how much effort I've been pouring into making this.Do you have narcissistic personality disorder or somethingyou're putting in 1% of the work of a regular game developer
>>110212910I'm curious, how much effort have you been pouring into making this? And what do you consider effort in this case?I see a lot of vibegame creators who say this but I don't know what they do that is actually effortful.
>>110212922Wow I bet you use a horse and carriage to travel anywhere? After all driving, taking the train, or taking an airplane is but 1% of the effort of the good old horse
>>110212910Not my jam, but godspeed anonYou already have more comments on itch than like 90% of games on /agdg/, honestly quite surprising
>>110212922I've been a programmer for a long time actually. Long before this AI age. And I can tell you from experience that most developers don't do much work (they never did and are actually terrible at their jobs)
>>110212936I'm not telling you not to use AII'm telling you don't expect anyone to acknowledge your work when you're barely doing anything
>>110212943It would take a lot of work to draw those sprites that you generated
>>110212910Neat. What model(s) are you using? Do you have a rough estimate as to how many total tokens you've burned making this? I'm thinking about vibing a mobile game for myself
>>110212922god shut up you nigger, nobody cares about 'effort', nobody will buy your polished turd, you can whine about how you used all your mom's economies on it, nobody cares you retard>>110212910Yeah I gotta say I've really enjoyed it bro, though I haven't had enough time to really play through it but I could tell you put a lot of soul in it, the squad system was a bit complicated to understand tho, you'll probably want some sort of quick tutorial for it methinks. Very cool nonetheless.
>>110212910>A downloadable game for Windows and macOSHuh, is actually might be worth playing.
>>110212967>nobody cares about 'effort'clearly they do or they wouldn't be calling it AI slop
>>110212975Nta. Define "slop" in regards to video games.
>>110212975Who is?The millions that played mecca chameleon? Or the million that played hood warfare?Which ones are you talkin about, specifically?
>>110212979I didn't say it was AI slop
>>110212910Seems fun, today I got a video recommended about your game on youtube funnily enough so it seems you're making some waves.
>>110212986You're getting awfully defensive about this, I'm just responding to his complaint
>>110212910I was actually recommended a video about your game on Youtube today.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raUxT--H-Us
>>110212987That's not at all what I asked. What is "slop"? If your grandma asked you what that is in regards to video games, how would you describe it?
>>110212996>come into thread about AI content to whine about AI>w-w-w-why are you getting defensiveGet the fuck out, retard.
>>110213001Why are you asking me that
>>110213004I'm not whining about AI I'm telling him why OTHER people are whining about his AI usageI think his game looks pretty cool
>>110213005So you don't know. Well thanks for at least responding I guess
>>110212943I personally think strongly that the average person has about 4 hours of true, frontier-level work they can produce (frontier-level meaning something like 'this is difficult for me, but possible, if i push hard and learn new things')If they do more, they have to pay it back in debt eventually (lazy, unproductive days in the future). Most people think 4 hours sounds like a dogshit amount of work. Like most workdays are 9 hours and some people claim to work for 12+ hours a day etc. Yes you can do repetitive, automatic flowstate work nearly endlessly as long as it produces a noticeable result (a good amount of money or significant progress on a task/project)But truly impressive creative projects come from just dumping around 4 hours a day into *something*, being realistic/self critical, finishing things, and being consistent with your effort, imo.To some this may seem lazy, but just because devs don't *actually* work on hard frontier creative work for 9 hours a day doesn't mean they don't get shit done in those ~4hrs of actual productive creative effort they have.If you genuinely do almost nothing and are terrible at your job, probably you just aren't attempting to put in those 4 hours, and instead you're doing a few minutes of work here or there, enough to look productive, and collect a paycheck - which means you aren't passionate at all about the job, you just want the money.Which is fine! Lots of people are this way.But these people who phone-it-in at their jobs are now doing the same thing but for creating stuff, using AI to offset their laziness, and spamming slop onto platforms where actual hardworking creatives are trying to get clicks/views/plays.
>>110212910Do you plan a steam release? If yes, make sure to shill it in here when you do, I'll buy it again and I got a few friends I know would be interested (but they'd never download shit off of itch.io)
>>110213018I didn't call his game AI slop
Someone Vibe Chadded a Three.js DnD game but the kicker? The AI is the dungeon master.https://x.com/MengTo/status/2116404959277433240
>>110213033have you had breakfast this morning?what if you didn't eat breakfast this morning?
>>110213041Why are you asking me to define AI slop when I didn't even use the term in the first place
>>110213038Yeah, LLM controlled narration/dungeon master is going to be huge, I don't think we're at the stage yet where a cheap one would be good enough to do most of that work, but I've already thought of making a dungeon crawler with this in mind, it'd fit perfectly with the idea, infinite quests, companions and NPCs and Towns that remember you, etc etc
Oh thank god we can actually turn the Halloween layout off this year.
>>110213067What the fuck, I didn't think of trying, holy shit thanks bro.
>>110213062I think if someone has a semi-decent GPU, a WASM model is feasible in browser that does basic dungeon mastering. At least ChatGPT3 tier dialogue.
>>110213038these are pretty cool, I had so much fun playing Pax Historia which is sorta grand strategy LLM led game
>>110213038>>110213119I also suggested to him that there's an open source repository for Magic Spells now to usehttps://x.com/Ian_cadle/status/2116288926608499067
>>110213033I don't CARE whether or not you called it slop. I'm asking you to define it. Answer the goddamn question you stubborn defensive autist. Or don't. But don't be such a spurg when you're asked to do simple things. Your utter lack of social skills is clearly obvious even through text.
Megaman Legends guy are you here?
>>110213194>I'm asking you to define itWhy?
>>110213218Curiosity. You spurgs act like this and then wonder why you can't make close friends.
>>110213229You're speaking to me as if I called his game AI slop, I didn't, I hold no position here so why are you asking me to defend one
>>110211962Way ahead of you. Already supports customizing each expression's eyes to whatever you want. It's just not hooked up to animations, and doesn't support mouths yet since none of my characters have them so far.
>>110213232>You're speaking to me as if I called his game AI slopNo. That's an assumption you pull out of your ass. I asked you a simple question out of curiosity and you took offense to it. That was literally it. No culture war shit. No US versus them intent behind it. Smooth brain emotionally unbalanced retard always looking for negativity in places it was never present. Perhaps you're too spineless to lurk here if you're reading comprehension can be compromised that bad. Tunnel visioned ulture war niggers need to be the first to he exterminated should "le checking evil skynet AI" ever becomes real. Come back when you aren't such an underage cockroach
>>110213260You clearly have some motivation you just won't tell me what it is
>>110213273If you can't even figure out what that supposed motivation is, you're too stupid to have any business calling anyone out for having some agenda. There is no fucking motivation or agenda I just asked you a simple question. You are a socially maladjusted idiot and I'm sure you're treated as such irl, deservingly.
>>110213293Why did you ask me what AI slop meant when I didn't use the term AI slop and was merely responding to his question about people calling his game AI slop?
Instead of gamedevving I'm trying to port over an older RTS to Godot and even try and upscale the graphics. Sadly the original 3D assets for the sprite renders are lost in time, but I'm trying with some upscale tools to varied success. Wish me luck anons.
>>110213397what game?
>>110213404warlords battlecry 3
>>110211946Ya, plenty of playtesting left to get the "feel" right, though the idea is you are playing a squad leader rather than the leader of the whole army. So if you want to do offensive you'd play a class more focused on that and trust the other defence class units to cover defence so hopefully the player wont feel too forced to whiplash between what they are doing.>warpigsLooks worth looking at for potential inspirations. Thanks anon
How do you guys generate art and animations? Using Astra 6 and it produces very sloppy results. Fine for 1 image but as soon as I have to make something coherent it shits the bed, messes up even walking sprites
>>110213305>when I didn't use the term AI slop>>110212975>clearly they do or they wouldn't be calling it AI slopAre you so sensitive that you think the word "slop" is some insult or slur?
>>110212910This is amazing gameplay. No one actually cares AI was used, they just like complaining. If you never disclosed your AI usage there would be no backlash. Let them complain while the rest of us buy your game. I've enjoyed it so far, are you able to play as Granovia in a campaign yet?
>>110213458I have had good success with GPT (sol) in the past, it fucks up a lot, yes, but I just take screenshots and circle what is wrong and tell my clanker it's not good.

>>110213695>it needs hundreds of poses: animation frames × 8 directions, across walking, attacking, dying and other actions.yeah so? its not like you have to do it yourselfif you want to "upscale" a game and you're literally just photoshop resizing it what's the fucking point
>>110213690godot been great for my own project, going 4 months stronggo for ue5 if you aim for some high fidelity graphics, although I have not used it so can't really saydon't see point to go with unity unless you own some assets or something, in the past unity won over godot with the fact that it had a lot more guides/libraries but in the era of vibechads this is irrelevant
>>110213623Anyone else is free to answer. Why are you getting offended that I asked you? These aren't private DMs or something. Get the fuck off of this forum did you feel a thing that when someone addresses you specifically. You aren't some high maintenance IG model who can gate keep who talks to her. Know your place.

>>110213690I think Godot is probably the best choice among them. LLMs have an easy time working with it, and you won't really gain anything by going with the other, as you'll be hardpressed to get any assets fitting a high-fidelity game.I'm working with Bevy and that has also been working really well.
>>110213761slop means something that is ubiquitous and low quality
>>110210186Opus 5.5 pretty much one shotted mountainsFunny thing I tried this with all openai models over last months, starting from sol 5.6 (before other models came out), astra, sol 6 and even to sol 6.1 all produced horrendous results and failed to achieve what I wanted, even when given more time and multiple attempts
>>110212281Literally nothing
>>110213620>greenNTA but green looks fine imo, i especially like the bronze accents in that specific theme. just that the green theme clashes a lot with the blue flag and the background the most out of them which makes it look out of place, but on its own i think all of them look fine and like the other anon said it'd be cool to have different themes for different factions.
>>110213897>ubiquitousWhat are some examples in regards to vibe videogame development? I've never tried to vibe called a game so I don't know the signs at all.
>>110213965>vibe calledthis nigga using whisper to transcribe his speech lmao i get it that we're in a ai gamedev thread so it's all about being lazy, but this is too much lmao
>>110213965none, despite what this thread will tell you AI games aren't really a thing yet
>>110213910This looks really cool, anon. Is it gonna be an RTS? And what setting are you going for? Just medieval or more fantasy?
>>110213910are you remaking the bannerlord campaign map?
>>110213910Yeah it's my same experience with anything openAI, it even came to the point where I just have it as a skill for openAI to always ask claude to double check any work they do; even simple texture work, where they sometimes still fuck up basic shit like forgetting the normal maps or even getting the texture resolutions wrong.Opus is such a fucking boon.
>>110214015it's THE sandbox adventure RPG with some survival mechanics, and it's also mount and bladelike, and it also has sims like building system, which you can use to build up entire cities from nothing, and there is a shittone of other mechanics which are honestly hard to go through all here is cooking for example (it ties down into tavern running/armies/but also there for RP value)
>>110213910>>110214080you've literally opened my eyes anon. I was designing a world map like Rimworld for my RTS but in reality, what better model to copy than the campaign map from Mountainblade? The battles there are basically first person RTS battles anyway. Are you going to share your work/code or am I going to have to waste tokens on that myself?
>>110214049nah, it's my own original setting (note that outside of playable zone the map is not fully drawn)>>110214095map wise there is nothing from mount and blade at least nothing I intended, forworld map I've been asking and using paradoxes CK3/Imperator as reference
>>110214104Yeah I meant on your tech/code. The vision I would have on my game is that every world is procedurally generated but you move around it like in mount&blade/rimworld/your map, have encounters/conquer zones/... I'm working in Godot, though, but it would be interesting to let my clanker look at your clanker for inspiration
>>110214080Oh, shit. That sounds really good. Was the webm with smithing from a few threads ago also yours? If so I am totally sold on your project and want to know as soon as you're done, or even have a playable demo out. Keep up the good work.
>>110214080This looks cute as fuck.
>>110214123yeah, sorry nope, there is too much stuff I value, as awhole I've been working on this 4 months nowbut I asked claude to dump some stuff related to map rendering:the core just builds everything from flat maps. terrain (grass/sand/water/streams), biome, plant density and resources are plain images at 1 pixel per metre, so pixel perfect. you can export any of them as a png, paint over it in any editor and import it back.province borders, mountains and rivers are separate data layers on top of that:- hills and mountains aren’t a heightmap, they’re brush strokes (a path + radius + height). height is calculated from those shapes and the terrain meshes rebuild from them, so reshaping a whole range is one stroke, not repainting a heightmap- provinces get baked once from all of the above into a label grid (every metre knows its province). each province grabs the land nearest a random seed point, warped with noise so edges meander. water belongs to nobody, so rivers and coasts cut provinces, and climbing over a ridge counts as extra distance, so borders run along mountain crests. really high mountains stay unowned wilderness, paradox style- the political map is a shader reading that label grid plus a tiny “who owns which province” texture, one pixel per province, so a province changing hands is a one-pixel update (plus a border field that recalculates in the background)the map view is pre-baked tiles, and when you zoom out a shader blends them into a paper/parchment look- main advice: keep each source layer separate and dumb (plain images or simple shapes), and bake the derived stuff (provinces, borders, routes) from them, instead of hand-authoring everything in one place. makes changing things way less painful>>110214159Thanks! Yep that was mine. Will take awhile, I'm being ultra ambitious with this, like I'm trying to break all boundaries indie devs typically have around solo deving and just how much you can do pushing LLMs
>>110214212>I'm being ultra ambitiousI can see that, your stuff looks great and it's right up my alley. Looking forward to see more from you in the future.
>>110214212Fully understand and appreciate the notes
