John Kendall Hawkins (2026), Nano-totalitarianism: Brain-computer interfaces, fusion databases, and the weaponisation of consciousness. Torture: Quarterly Journal on Rehabilitation of Torture Victims and Prevention of Torture 36(2)DOI: 10.7146/torture.v36i2.170024https://www.researchgate.net/publication/415134475_Nano-totalitarianism_Brain-computer_interfaces_fusion_databases_and_the_weaponisation_of_consciousnessIn case you didn't know, this technology is both real, being researched in NATO countries, but also undergoing field testing at this very moment. From what I know, it is being developed in at least the University of Oulu, Finland, where they already had relevant expertise through the development of 6G technology and so-called persuasive technology, which easily veers into coercion. There is at least one, but there are probably two test subjects currently undergoing "treatment" in Finland, one in Oulu (who spreads around notes around town containing his confused ramblings, which happen to loosely overlap thematically, yet not exactly in their content with what the other subject has been fed before). I've spoken to a researcher in Oulu involved with the development of this technology and its practical application protocols. They make a point of trying to argue it is somehow benevolent work, but torture, it is to my understanding, plain and simple. They use a cycle of Chinese-style brainwashing where the target is subjected to forced self-criticism under constant watch in a pseudo-social environment, to methodical humiliation, and conversely, the point appears to be to alternate to creating a Stockholm syndrome kind of relationship with the torturing party.
The reason this is being developed in Finland may have to do with the fact that Finland recently joined NATO, borders Russia and may have an incentive to position themselves as being a valuable NATO asset, as an R&D hub for defense industry contracting. In addition, the technology may be under development for use against EU-critical movements in Europe, as Europe is slowly but surely approaching a crisis with its nascent populist movements and the willingness of certain countries to rebel against authoritarianism and the antidemocratic system that is the EU. The current prime minister of Finland, in addition to the minister of defense and the president all belong to a technocratic, progressive, but currently mildly conservative-posing, pro-EU party with a clear bent for federalism. One of the EU's commissioners was chosen from said party's ranks. This kind o f technology undoes the very possibility of the masses being able to trust a system of representative democracy, because every single elected official can be targeted unbeknownst to the voting public. The technology has an inherently authoritarian, tyrannical, technocratic logic.
Satanic NATO labs in Finland? Russia must bomb them now!
>>110214216I'd prefer if the Finnish state would understand that developing or using this kind of toolkit won't get them what they want in terms of control, and it will probably incentivize civil unrest, unless admitted to, apologized for and unless serious actions are undertaken to make it impossible to repeat the use of these means of torture (destroying documentation and fabrication infrastructure). Personally, I don't much care who destroys the facilities that were used to produce the nanomachines, because I care about national independence and people's ability to affect the kinds of societies that they live in. It's not a national problem, but a human problem if these kinds of tools exist for authoritarian regimes to exert power clandestinely. It's not just control over elected officials, either, but all trade secrets are basically just a question of someone bothering to get to them. It's a cybersecurity nightmare for, e.g., journalists or citizens engaging in lawful organizing, but in a way that is against the current power structure, because they won't have any room to strategize in private. There will be NOTHING but controlled opposition.
another day, another black mirror + revelations mashup eventjust the way things are now
Why are you posting my flag on /g/?
>>110214525Also I'm pretty sure we don't have black mirror tech here in my cunt.
>>110214525Because it's my flag, too. People have no idea about what kind of a state they're actually living in. Life goes on, but under the surface, involuntary human experimentation is a real thing. High-tech torture. People being coerced into relinquishing their homes, other property and past lives altogether. Attempts at brainwashing people into adopting. e.g., SDGs or the Pride-movement's queer-theoretical framework as an ideology. The sort of thing self-satisfied and arrogant "elites" would do, although it is likely that the ideologies were picked out as themes, rather than as the goal to reach, considering that at least one victim was staunchly against these ideologies in their personal life. Then there's the fact that the conscripts don't have any idea what type of regime they would be expected to fight for, against another rather evil empire, both being undesirable forms of government if Finland is the kind of state that does this kind of thing. Direct democracy would be the only safeguard I could think of against these new means of control.
>>110214525What Finland needs is deep reform and transparency. Rooting out the decades old corruption that has seeped into the theater that is Finnish democracy. Because if the current prime minister's party would rubber stamp this kind of thing, they care shit all about the democratic process. This technology inherently endangers it at the very root, if the system is a parliamentary democracy.
Do you think ryssä would do that? Just go on the internet and tell lies?
>>110214684The current austerity government FUCKING HATES higher education and does not fund the universities for shit, let alone for claimed mind control research.
>>110214204another schizo so,ykaf>microwave nanochip torture>add some sciency bsover this post you went from nanotechnology to forced humiliationthis is just schizophrenia, not even joking anon
>>110214663>>110214684>>110214766are you finfags into government controlling the citizens btw? forced public BSDM for the youth sorry consription and civil defense exercises last nation to schizopost lol
Nice a schizo thread on /g/>>110214204Take your meds btw
>>110214766I was born in Oulu. I remember going to Lelutapuli as a kid to peruse their toy selection after having lunch at Golden Rax across a skywalk that used to be where the Valkea shopping centre is situated today. I attended the now closed Kastelli lower secondary school. Had pizza at Göreme pizzeria with my friends. Their pizzas were legendary at the time, ultra cheesy and the restaurant was particularly famous for their garlic bread. Those who know, know.
>>110214780They'd be more open to defense industry contracts, particularly within Kokoomus.
>>110214794The humiliation is about manipulating you to concede information, ultimately, I think. Or they're looking to develop tools for de-radicalizing individuals. Perhaps even going as far as to brainwash key individuals into making subtle adjustments to their world-view, in order to have them make different decisions in everyday life. Say that you can nudge the victim to think differently about whether to make a certain decision one way or not. AI-driven nudging, every second of your waking life and even while you are asleep.
>>110214816The biggest public-private secret is pretending we didn't build a huge internet spying facility at the Viestikoekeskus in Tikkakoski, as one can openly establish in the press and in the courts. We don't have a systemic conscript rape culture problem or any secret mind control devices, last I've checked.>>110214882That's possible. However, I think the academics involved would want to publish, which would require presenting relevant research as something else than it is, in a form which an academic paper could cite as evidence. That still makes it very unlikely.
