Dataset creator is taking shape. I dumped tcl and switched to qt6, it looks so much better. I'm building it on my hermes-agent machine, which is a low-power intel box. All the neural network stuff uses iGPU, which is a little faster than CPU. Captioning itself will require openrouter credits, and I have not built that part yet.
Here's a screenshot from testing on Kill Me Baby, which is a very easy show because there's just four characters.

If you look in the cap there's 1028 images of Sonya, it just shows 4 at a time because if you move back from the monitor a bit you can pretty quickly see if a character is in all the images. ccip_grounding is pretty good at finding characters, so this is really just for minor clean-up. Usually I'm skipping pages and just unchecking a few.
This tool is focused on making "show" level datasets. It tries to even out the characters to no more than 100 images each. While "show" LoRAs are fun, the ultimate goal is a properly-leveled dataset of canon anime characters across many shows.
I have full mirrors of animepahe and gogoanime - I wish I could use them but they have burned subs and are shitty re-encodes. I'll have to come up with a way to walk some anime ranking lists and then pull stuff down from nyaa.si. The internet is closing down, though, I doubt I'll make it in time.
