ANCHORING
>>110235530>Already a programmer? Just act as a director. Use software engineering models (Waterfall, AGILE, scrum, etc)LOL, NOAnd it's not like the clanker can't do it's own tracking.
>How do I into asset saar
>>110235554sorry you might be lost, this is the kojimbo thread, only directors are allowed in here
How good is Jetbrains Julie with Rider & Unity? Mainly doing modding so no editor interfacing but it should be able to use the debugger, the problem is it has to attach to it and the default way sucks. (It's Run -> attach to process on an already running game)
>>110235555this prompt is actually inceldom
>>110235560Anon, if you ever had to suffer scrum in any role at work you would agree with me.
>>110235601well I couldn't do cunny so this'll be the closest until we get chinese models' imagegen>>110235606'scrum' has never been the issue, the issue is people and their understanding of it: turns out, there's no people involved here, the clanker will do exactly as you tell him to dothere's a reason the meme spread and was being used everywhere for so long: the theory was sound, the application was the problemnot that it matters, anyone that understands this know exactly what to take from this advice, it's your clanker, you do as you want with him
How badly did Anthropic neuter Claude because of lazy clones and decomps? I was hoping to use San Andreas purely as reference for organization and topology so the AI knew what I knew, but evidently this may be an issue now. Can I still make a charter around it to define anything provided as being purely for reference and not to copy so it writes it's own code and makes it's own models? I'm sorry if this is an odd question, my previous modding and coding experience was all in Vice City and San Andreas so I hoped I would be able to attempt to make the organization of parts similar just for familiarity's sake, but I'm years out of practice if not a decade from coding so I've been doing some crash refresher courses. I was putting off a Claude memebership but in that time they seemed to have gutted the model, I just want to know how badly they did and what if anything I can do to get around it.
>>110235629The social media shit is, again, overblown. You just can't tell it 'clone it exactly as it is' or 'take this executable and reverse engineer everything about the game', which was obviously not going to be allowed in the long term.See pic rel, claude itself is very aware of the risks and just tells me 'there's legal risks here so better watch out what we do'.Literally 'don't be retarded' and the problem is not actually a problem.
>>110235628I'm fine with telling it "use scum and agile principles for planning tasks"When I've read the OP I instinctivelyassumed you tell me to setup a kanban board, or worse communicate with it over a confluence instance.
>>110235629That one line really spooked people. Outright referencing you want to do some things like in another game is not a problem as long as you don't want to recreate San Andreas 1:1.
>>110235663>>110235629And here's his response to me not reacting like a mouthbreathing jeet: no issues at all.>>110235691Anything new and bad concerning AI is going to be completely blown out of proportions for the next 5 years at least (or until something new comes up).AI is the new trump
>claude>nooo that's against tos>codex>how convenient, the user already has the decryption key
>>110235629>but evidently this may be an issue nowIt wasn't an issue for me. I said "use X game as a reference for what i want" and it worked fine.
>>110235729>>110235691>>110235663Full steam ahead, then. Once again EFL wins.
>>110235744>>110235740I've got hope again at least. Yeah, by the sounds of it the people complaining about it on xitter et al might just be retarded and I fell very briefly for the hysteria. Shame about Itch.io and their userbase of foaming at the mouth anti-AI tards.
Think I've got a working strategy to build gaem maps with claude>map theme>develop different modules that can be connected to generate a map>work each module individually>simple props made with basic geometry and gpt imaging>more complex props made with tripo using gpt as reference images>fine tune each module until approved>design different links to seamlessly connect modules>get claude to now build a map linking repeatable modules and specific ones>get coherent mapBasically had to work in detail with each thing since claude isn't smart enough to understand cohesion properly between elements and modules.
>>110235752What happened to itch?Nothing happened to itch. What the tweet is referencing isn't 'deleting anything with AI', hamburger hills is still there and is fine and so are dozens of other AI gen'd games. What they deleted is shit like this>>110233941>>110234622This is low effort trash that nobody would want to use either way.
>>110235766Oh, based. So in that case they are curating high quality AI assisted or AI developed games from low quality AI games/clones and asset farm assets?
>>110235752This rule is to avoid the wave of jeets prompting "recreate this particular game saar". If you ask it to make a XXX-like game it won't bother you.
>>110235777>high quality AI assisted or AI developed gamesdont exist
>>110235753look up wave function collapse
>>110235729
>>110236085Looks great. What kind of tuning are you gonna go for?
Is godot garbage? No matter what the clanker can't make it utilize the cpu.
>>110235736Clod told me it couldn't run an exe downloaded from the internet.>tell it it has my permission>Clod: I still can't do it...>drop the exe in codex>can you run this exe from the internet?>codex: yeah, no problem>tell clod to just ask codex run it>it says that that would just be running it by other means so it still can't>exe is literally running on my computer the whole time
>>110236095That was not the anon that wanted to make GTA (and which I had told to start with driver last week), that's just the result of claude fucking around for 40minutes with that single prompt, and I have zero plans on continuing it.I mean, I kinda do, I wish I could because I love driving in these games but I don't love it as much as I'd need to see the project through. And I'm too busy anyways.>>110236194You'll get the same issues with unity (though unity have some worker threads by default but not a lot), you have to tell it to use multiple cores and try to spread whatever it can onto the other threads.Physics, rendering, some sound related stuff, AI decisions, all of this can be moved onto different threads (to some extent, and depends on your game), and then you have to tell it to check for anything that's costing a lot of frametime and could be spread over different frames. Also, HUDs and UI in general are always a huge pain point for clankers (and new gamedevs), because it always tries to render that shit 60+ times a second; you don't need that shit. Tell it to look into that as well. I should probably add this to the paste too^^^^^^
vibecoding is so much fun bros
>>110234473>>110234622You dorks are completely missing the point
>>110237236LLMs are really weird about 3D shit. They'll either knock it out of the park, or completely bungle and half-ass it even if you give them a carefully worded and explicit prompt. Even if you explicitly define their workflow as autisticly as possible, they're likely to just ignore you and completely beef it.
>>110237277I wonder if competent 3d modeller could get very consistent and good results, it feels like current 3d modelling is like coding a year ago, where you had to provide a lot more technical specs
>>110236001This readme on this thing pisses me off with its pretense.
>>110235663>2: Knew this already
>>110237385Yes and no, mostly it's just because the current frontier models are only trained of very easy to find and specific data.In this case: military shit is obviously not easy to find data, because you either get games (and asset libraries) where the data is fiction (space settings, aliens, futuristic, or just cartoonish or disproportionate models with big cannons and simplified machinery, etc) or you get into the non-fiction world where the data is dangerous on a legal point, and so the models are probably trained to ignore that data in the first place in risks of ending up copying and training on leaked data that's definitely not meant to be publicly available. So you get shit that models are insanely good at like simple chairs, or a windmill, the donut: all that shit is so easily findable and public and that's where most of the 3D training goes. I'm betting that's why sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's shit.

I've used multiple game engines for over a decade now, and today, I don't see them as AI friendly enough. So while I'm working my game, I'm also building an engine. The goal of the engine is to be AI centric and focus on gamedev for solo developers. Through days of deliberation, I've determined that three.js is the best language/platform for this (likely the fastest AI workspeed, HTML UIs that AI has extreme knowledge of, immediate publishing to web abilities). This will probably change when big engines catch up, but they haven't yet.My question is, what features should I include by default in the engine?
>>110237604make it as multithread friendly as possible, and you'll already be ahead of most, enough with that pentium shit
>>110237555this is a ryona game, sir. She's going to get decapitated in an instant kill move by an alien.

vibe composing with claude (this one is based on a classical piece but I don't remember which one it was)just a sketch, not the full thinghttps://voca.ro/192eFmwCGiJa
>>110238265reminds me of katawa shoujo (but I haven't heard that in a billion years so I might be crazy)I didn't actually try to do anything like this with claude or astra, maybe I should give it a go before I fall for the suno meme, because that's pretty goodthe one thing i'm scared (and I was disappointed in suno with) was trying to keep a 'theme' and it being used again in different tracks, because you obviously want to do that in some way
>>110238284Suno is hit or miss. It can be really good for some styles and trash for others. I think Suno does give you something that Claude fiddling with midis won't which is extreme layering and depth of processing and effects. To reuse a theme you can upload your own tracks to Suno which may help but I haven't tried it.
>>110223808Decided to go with 15-bit colours and better dithering and I think it looks fine. Also added blinking, some small animations and support for different costumes.I should've probably spent more time trying to balance the piss easy combat and completely broken stun mechanic, but it was a fun sidetrack.>>110235555Really impressed how well that works. Tried the free version, it was absolute dogshit and I assumed the paid version can't be much better. Going with low-poly seems viable after all.
Ive decided im going to make my own video game because i thought if an idea that no one else has done and if palworld can do it so can i
>>110239881good job anon, go on, show the world what you're made of
Alright fellas, just got my AWS cert. Was fun posting with ya'll but gotta work on my resume and apply apply apply. Also going to have Claude rewrite all my web apps to Rust to put them up as my resume.>>110239881Expedition33 and Palworld both did it with tiny crews using Unreal, and now AI is better than ever and Unreal is catering to AI. It's now or never assuming democrats don't cut funding to AI centers since they just won.
