This is stupid, it's designed to replace people and ensloppify the world and concentrate power into the hands of shady tech people. Most people in America don't care for it either, so there's that too. It's carshing hard.
>>
I wouldn't worry about it. There's this thing called lobbying in American politics. A bunch of democrats are gonna get paid off by big tech and that will be that.
>>
I honestly think people are blowing this out of proportion? (Both sides mind you).
I only use local models for both images and code and I do fine even if I have to CONSTANTLY TARD WRANGLE QWEN BECAUSE THE RETARDED CLANKER DOESN'T KNOW THE METHODS IN RUST AND KEEPS HALLUCINATING...
...But I still get shit done faster than doing so by hand, there is no going back now, even if they ban all major AI companies local models are already 'good enough' to get shit done.
>>
>>110256167
>it's designed to replace people
every piece of code and automation is
>ensloppify the world
its already finding huge critical bugs in humanslop code and writes more secure code than the average meatbag
>concentrate power into the hands of shady tech people
its the opposite, it decentralizes power because open weight models exist and you dont need to have a team of workers now to yourself make images, code, or research in order for you to do something.
>>
>>110256189
I disagree. No, I will not elaborate.
>>
>>110256189
>every piece of code and automation is
Proofs?

>its already finding huge critical bugs in humanslop code and writes more secure code than the average meatbag
It can find bugs, but the code it predicts next a mess.

>it decentralizes power because open weight models exist
They stink, they're mostly distilled garbage. Nobody is doing anything serious with them. Even the top top stuff is garbage.

I won't be sloppin' or accepting anybody else's goyslop either. Sam Altman's RAM comment sealed the deal, and his sleazy ass jewy attempt to undo the damage he did made things worse lol. I propose a total and complete ban on thinking machines.
>>
>>110256189
>its the opposite
No it's not.
>it decentralizes power because open weight models exist
Until corporations get them outlawed. You think they won't do that? They've outlawed much less powerful things than AI models.
>you dont need to have a team of workers now to yourself make images, code, or research in order for you to do something
Yes you do, because AI doesn't replace skill, taste, or experience, as evidenced by the already endless AI slop content filling up the internet that is nothing but mindless copies of existing things. If AI can generate something, your competitors will be able to generate it too, so the economic incentives to use AI for creation are zero.
Nobody wants to buy regurgitated AI slop, so storefronts and digital distributors in general will create guardrails to keep the tidal wave of slop from costing them bandwidth and storage.
>its already finding huge critical bugs in humanslop code
And creating tenfold the amount of bugs in AIslop code by simple virtue of velocity of generation. Making more code faster is useless if the code isn't tested and vetted, and AI can't do that reliably nor do companies want to pay to do it.

"Anti-AI" hysterics want to dismantle a disruptive tech that will prevent us from being stuck in 2020 forever? Why do you want to protect NeoBabylon? Do you have any idea how many of us have little to lose in the first place?
>>
>>110256136
Better a dark age than a slop age. Heil Hakeem.
>>
>>110256270
AI will reinforce neo-Babylon. It is akin to how the chariots reinforced the power of the elites in the Bronze Age.
>>
>>110256180
Don't worry. bigger models are getting very good at fixing smaller models directly changing the weights.
>>
>>110256273
You can become amish and shut up
>>
>>110256136
The kids can can’t read, can’t think, and can’t function without a computer. We’re already entering a dark age. A real one, not whatever bullshit you’re on about.
>>
>>110256336
>The kids can can’t read, can’t think, and can’t function without a computer.
What's worse is they don't even know how to operate computers. We're raising new generations that are absolutely helpless without their technology babysitters that they barely even know how to operate. We also know how bad it is for children to let technology do all their thinking for them, but retards think that somehow it's okay to let technology do all of the thinking for adults? We're going to raise a society of complete and utter helpless and tech-dependent retards, unlike anything ever seen before.
>>
>>110256136
>He thinks democrats want to stop AI
Fucking lol, they want it just as badly as the republicans do. The only difference is that they want to be in charge of it.
>>
>>110256544
Well they just did an oopsie doopsie because they're going to be nothing left for them to be in charge of.
>>

Nigger you can't regulate knowledge or the desire to seek it

This. They will turn around and support AI as long as it has a huge LGBTQ flag hanging from the data centers

this but unironically
>no you don’t understand, the counterfeit $20 was real because you didn’t notice the difference!
lol
>>
>>110256270
I don't care for pro-AI people's tone. You're part of the reason why I'm against AI.
>>
>>110256136
No. We will have an AI winter. If they consider all deep learning as AI it will be really fucked, with a slight chance of the next breakthrough happening 30 years earlier than expected from the constraint forcing people to explore other avenues. If not, we will get the breakthrough on schedule, that is 40 years from now. Then all the promises of today's LLMs, which are impossible to fulfill and anyway LLMs have totally stalled since 2024, will be realized. We really will be in a situation where 90% of devs will be replaced (exception: domain experts, because you still need someone to translate clientspeak to specs, but the breakthrough after that will no longer need it), and the vast majority of writing will be replaced. It won't be slop anymore either, all the info will be exactly correct and the tone will be natural. The internet will truly die then. But it will barely matter.

You didn't understand that blogpost at all.

I don't get why anyone would think that they would even need to be paid. The US government itself knows this is valuable technology the dems who were voted in are centrist and they fucking KNOW and read the reports from the CIA/FBI/NSA fucking retards.
>>
muh ai this muh ai that
but what exactly did that shit give to us? How did our lives improve after AI adoption?
Aside from empowering jeets to shit up internet with garbage i can't think of a single thing. If AI was gone tomorrow nothing would change in society.
>>
>>110257152
>How did our lives improve after AI adoption?
I replaced playing games with playing with AI.
>>
>>110257152
>but what exactly did that shit give to us?
Endless slop, apparently
>>
>>110257157
just go play with your penis or something, you'll live.
>>
>>110256136
It's just jeets but faster, which is why the internet got really bad really suddenly.
>>
>>110257223
I wish. It's still worse than jeets. At least if it was on-par with jeets it would be a very very good thing. Imagine firing all those jeets and just nearshoring with AI. What a bliss. But nope.
>>
AI is there to help create, not to create
You say it's impressive but 99.9% of what's produced with it is absolute garbage that I'm forced to look at, watch, listen to. If there's a regulation AI needs is not censorship, it's a barrier of entry other than using ChatGPT 3 times a day for free. Remove human language in prompts, have fun learning how to tell the machine to do what you want it to do. Filter most of humanity and you no longer have slop.
>>
>>110257261
>If [thing that will never happen] happened, this technology would be good!
Been hearing this cope for decades now.
>>
>>110257335
Well then it isn't good, is it?
>>
>>110257261
this might just be true. The real problem is subhumans getting access to tools above their natural capabilities. They'll never create anything worth using, even if ai gets 100x times better.
>>
>>110257261
>AI is there to help create, not to create
It's there to make jews rich, not to raise poor people out of poverty.
>>
AI improvement is actually being shown to accelerate faster than expected. We're at that part in Learjet crash where that lady is saying we're banking at 60 degrees. Most of the public is still arguing whether or not we should beat china or not.

Nothing but horrifying death soon in the near future.

wth, m8
When I recently encountered a post where someone said that we are entering another renaissance/enlightenment/whatever I chuckled.
Are people really this blind? With all stuff happening in last few years (incl. AI bullshitery +corpos having influence on legislation), I mostly see fall of Rome scenario - entering dark ages at most. And above of all rise of technofeudalism...

Give me a 1500 word essay on the events in Germany leading to the rise of the German workers party using only sources available in a school library. (Internet forums and "locked due to edit war" online encyclopedia pages explicitly not allowed)

Here's a secret so many of these people don't know:
>AI doesn't prevent you from enjoying your craft

They're just butthurt that people don't want to pay exorbitant commission fees for their fanfic yiffy hentai anymore (which isn't drawn well anyway)

Did guitars go away because we could make music on the computer? No. Did woodworking go away because we invented CNCs? No.

What happened is the people that had enough talent couldn't get paid for it anymore. The people that enjoyed doing it for love of the game kept doing it.

These people don't like or appreciate art in the first place but now it's the crutch they lean on. How many of them were happily telling other people "learn 2 code" when their jobs were on the line? How many of them would be happy as pigs in shit if a trucker was replaced with a robot?
>>
>>110259367
>fanfic yiffy hentai
pretty sure those weirdos heavily prefer hand drawn art. they probably get off the fact they made someone draw it.
>>
>>110259367
>AI doesn't prevent you from enjoying your craft
it actually does
can't play any new video games because consoles cost $1000 and PC hardware is too expensive
can make 3D art, because i need good hardware to make it
>>
>>110259487
>my hobby costs money
Oh wow, poor you. Make more money. Even a $5,000 computer is low in cost compared to someone with a hobby of guitars, cars, guns, etc.
>>
>>110256167
Nigger they're just gonna do the same thing but put the datacenters in Malaysia.
>>
>>110259487
>can't play any new video games
99% of games made after 2020 are garbage, and tons of games are still coming out on ps4. There's nothing that can't run on a decade old 1080ti (muh RT can be forced in Linux)
>can't make 3D art
As long as you have a computer from the past decade, your hardware is leaps and bounds more powerful than the silicon graphics workstations of the 90s that produced some of the best 3D animation to this day. The only thing holding you back is your willingness to work with what you have.
>>
>>110258788
Yes. But if AI was just a little better, they could replace jeets, which could then replace everyone but jeets before killing whatever thing they're used for. Oh wait...
>>
>>110259618
People with car hobbies will get a $500 clanker and repair it slowly over time. This is impossible with computers. Entry level guitars are cheap as fuck and will do the trick for all but those who want to play in public in a band.
You are retarded.
>>
>>110259646
>after 2020
Clearly a typo for 2007.
>As long as you have a computer from the past decade, your hardware is leaps and bounds more powerful than the silicon graphics workstations of the 90s
Despite the common tabloid meme that phones are more powerful than yesteryear's supercomputers, that couldn't be further from the truth. A strong PC from 10 years ago with integrated graphics would be about 1.5x more powerful than a maxed out onyx2. However, software is now 1000x slower and shittier. Result: the total performance (if you consider OS and software stack) is somewhat slower in practice.
>>
>>110259904
Or they'll use it to replace whites, just like they did with jeets.
>>
>>110259914
People buy up retro PCs and e-waste optiplexes for <$100 all the time and fix them up. And thanks to projects like OneCoreAPI and MyPal you can run modern browsers and play newer indie games.
>>
>>110256136
2019 wasn't the best of times but I would take it now in a heartbeat. It might be the last good year we ever have
>>
>>110256136
Finally more little dark age edits.
>>
>>110260302
Completely irrelevant, like saying that people with a guitar hobby supposedly buy wood and cut it into shape.
>>
>>110259914
>excuses
Bro the day of $500 clankers is long gone. I could go on all day about how computers are a cheaper hobby but I digress:

There's nothing stopping you from buying a computer and building it over time too. I can find a GeForce 3080 TI all day long on FB for $450, don't tell me that's not a good enough card.

>entry level guitars
I said a hobbyist, not a beginner. You aren't talking about entry level computers here, are you? Then go buy a used-ass ThinkCentre and be happy.
>>

You actually believe that?

If you ever had to interview a supposedly qualified jeet you'd see through their ruse real quick. They tend to make impressive resumes and then either share them or just rip them off each other. But when they get to an interview with someone who knows two things about their job they fall apart in seconds.

>>110256136
