>Coding by hand
>Drawing by hand

>Modelling by hand
>Composing songs
>Doing your own research
>Reading books or articles past the headline or above the length of a tweet
All of these are "made obsolete" by AI. People don't see any reason to pick up these skills anymore.

This means that we'll have a two-tiered system of people where the majority delegates everything to AI and rots their brains to mush.

Where will you stand in this divide? Are you part of the intellectual elite or a slave to automation?

(I accidentally made this thread on the wrong board, sue me.)

only if you were worthless to begin with

shatbots cant even approach the quality of my code

rot, obviously

Even Deepseek can do better than that.

it cant.
ai codegen is fucking worthless at high levels
>>
>>110260078
ai codegen is shit at moderate levels too
maybe not entirely worthless, but still decently inbred

>repeated code
where?
>>
>>110260173
the switch, I am pretty sure you can implement it in a less repetitive way, it's the same thing two items but with a different number. but of course I have no context of what the code does all I can guess is 3rd models or something.
>>
>>110260047
why are the names so long?
Is this wrapped up in something simpler?
>>
>>110260314
>I am pretty sure you can implement it in a less repetitive way,
its not repeated code, though.
and the whole atof runs in ~90 cycles max, so any additional math, or jumps would be meaningful
(thats on 65 chars. ~1.5 cycle per char to turn a string into a float. thats in the same ballpark as an addition on an integer per char youre parsing. it *is devilishly fast)
>>
>>110260366
i offset cognitive load into the code
the name says exactly what its doing and where it sits so i can put all my brain to solving the problem at hand
>>
>>110260047
nice high quality code bro, must have taken several hours of time and effort
she let me smash because I made her laugh with my instant vibeslop btw

What's "high quality" about your code?
It looks very trivial.
>>
>>110260476

>>110260567
its faster than eisel-lemire on longer strings
this code competes with the best of the best

also its my first serious attempt at simd, so obviously its gonna have a special place in my heart
plus theres alot more than meets the eye going on in there
like avoiding logical fences to ilp-maxx
or the a strategic synergy between force inlined code, how gcc actually solves that, and preemptive execution, or rather- predictive queuing of simd instructions to reduce latency
the latter was surprising to me, ngl

this is really finetuned code, its not without reason this can compete with whats considered to be the absolute fastest.
faster in my usecase, the competition faster in its special cases, and for 8 byte long floats.
>>
>the competition faster in its special cases, and for 8 byte long floats.
iirc they get that in 30

with all my simd machinery the shortest for me is 60

but then 32 integers and 32 decimals is 90 for me

for eisel lemire that would have been 240 (E-L deals with chars 8 at a time)

and its more or less a smooth progression for me, thanks to ilp mostly.
theres a minimum amount of time my simd takes because of the setup and latencies
but once i get there, ilp kicks in and i can run basically 2 simd instructions at a time on my consumer cpu (its 4 at a time on server-class, usually, with avx2. dont count on ilp x4 with avx 512)
and thats why the diff bw shortest and longest cases is from 60 to 90 cycles for me
its basically all the additional machinery i need to make everything fit together in longer cases

let the old world die

every crisis is an opportunity
we will be the new world's hereditary priest class because everyone else will have been lobotmized
just make sure to raise your kids right so the continuity is maintained
>>
>>110261013
Great filter means we never spread to the stars.
NEVER
kys
>>
>>110261030
>great filter shit
means great-filter-like

we will spread to the stars, but 95% of humanity will have to get beaten to death by robots before we get there (bullets are too expensive. use rokk. rokk never fails, is cheap and widely available. a brick is ok too, but rokk is better)

we will spread to the stars because its our mf-ing birthright, as a technological species

are those skyscrapers? so cool!
>>
>>110261047
The current trajectory is:
>GenAI replaces research and skilled labor
>99.99% are in the permanent underclass
>General purpose super-intelligent AI never materialize
>Skill atrophy leads to fatal model collapse of GenAI
>Humanity exists at Idiocracy levels for a decade
>everyone dies.
>>
>>110261056
ngl, there *is a certain esthetic to c code
it makes me think of a mechanical machine rather than architecture, though

its """precomputed""" because i use simd types and reading from a """precomputed""" table is faster than cobbling a simd-type number together (its just a mask that converts an offset into masking out a part of the string bc i then do simd maths on it)
>>
>>110261082
i wont die.
and we will be the ones with a brain.

its not all bad you'll get your dick sucked by your neighboring stacy for turning on a toaster
plus
>youre wrong and retarded
will become a mainstream political argument
but one only we can use

every crisis is an opportunity
just dont let yourself get swept away in the troubles before we get there

its not cope, its a figure of speech
you will get privileges for being able to use your brain, is what i meant
even for trivial shit because the average will be just that fucking retarded

in fact
i think we'll leave the retards to their own devices on earth
and we will be the ones going to the stars

>but muh gikes
they have money
but the power resides in raw manufacturing capabilities

jensen huang >>> you & me >>> oldkikes, in the new world, unironically

better find something to automate, we still have time

Perhaps, I certainly like your optimistic outlook.
I don't want to read through 10k lines of vibslop to and refactor it so it gets unstruck though.

>>110261237
dont think like a wagie
wagies are expendable

think of the essence of programming
think of what problem you can solve
then solve it.
with automation, big money has a raging erection for that

you know what i saw recently?
drones used to pick hydroponic tomatoes

i didnt think
>nuuuh its ogre, somenonenem haz tagen the nietzche

i thought
>what fucking retard mongoloid gorilla thought drones are a good idea
>youre expending energy for merely staying in a static state, and you cant even pick all of them tomatoes because a drone has rotors

because turns out,
old money is lazy. and inbred. therefore- retarded

This sentence right here is why I'm so glad AI is ass blasting insufferable codefags. Your skill has been democratized.

Most people hate AI media and assets because they look like shit. No one cares for AI code because it's a "just get it to work" skill.

your great-grandpa would disapprove

yeah, but it didnt.
the second shatbots will be able to compete with the top level
you can be sure ai bros would be talking about it all over the place

but ai-lmaoo is slopp
literal fucking low quality barely passable slop
when it works that is because when you go one step beyond the hello world
you have to fucking fix things

this explains the why
you just dont know wtf youre talking about

your mistake

who tf cares as long as they pay. or worship
im ok with either
am i not a generous god?

i think you should get into the generous god mindset yourself
that doesnt mean the lesers shouldnt fear your wrath either
dont be a faggot god
be a generous one
>>
>that doesnt mean the lesers shouldnt fear your wrath either
this should conjure images of arson and wanton, random outbursts of violence at the most inappropriate of times

the lessers shall fear our wrath
thus has been decreed
>>
>>110261431
what do you think democratization means?

software development before AI has been a great equalizer. it was a profession where Sumar from a backwater village in India could have the same opportunities as a middle class American. software engineering is a global market and loads of companies outsourced it, plus it doesn't require massive upfront investment like manufacturing does.
the same goes for online commission artists, its also a global market and the filter is in intellectual skill, not capital.

the automation of software development means only those with the means to pay for AI services will be rewarded with money and publicity. is this what you call democratization?
>>
>>110260047
If only you knew
>>
>>110261707
>but what about big corpo
theyre inbred
what about them?

or are you saying that 60% devtime being scrum is efficiency???

>b-but they make big money
that only means the bar to make big money is exceedingly low
>>
>>110261431
>Your skill has been democratized.
I know I am probably talking to a bot, but don't AIfags realize this is a self-own?
It's essentially admitting "I was too retarded to learn how to program."
