I've developed a high-end operating system concept inspired by Vista. What are your thoughts?

"menu" text could be updated, if you want to keep the full word, you need to tweak the typeface, try DIN or something like that maybe? I would go with an icon though instead. Good chance for you to make your own logo.Blur the lines on the background quite a bit and add washed out colors (high level of transparency). You'll still see the 'wavy' effect but it'll look a more interesting and will offset the hard grey color of the taskbar etc.^Apple, Windows, Ubuntu, all do this.
