Get some calligraphy samples and clipart from the internet, lay paper on your screen and lightly trace it, then try your gouache to create the shspe, most likely you aren't using any water on your brush, use moist sponge and rinsing jar, swish brush to wet it, wipe backwards on sponge to remove excess, get paint on tip of brush and wipe again to thin and remove clumps, now paint, thrn rinse in jar, repeat, never let brush dry unless it's clean, whole time moist, thin the gouche as needed, use damp tracing paper on moist sponge as wet palette for thinning paint and mixing colors, watch miniature figure painters a lot to learn how to handle the brush and use every kind of deather and metal quill pen or calligraphy pen you can to practice, remember to rule out your lines or use a lightbox with lined paper behind your sheet to follow along. Digital pens don't really work like real pens or brushes and won't help much, it's a separate skill. Use egg washes and acrlic mediums to slow drying time of paint or for thinning in a more fluid way than just with water alone. It's all about controlling the moisture level. I'd recommend painting larger than you'd think. Moist manuscripts are pretty large and small flaw in measurements on large scale isn't a big deal, on small scale looks horrible, so practice bigger rather than smaller. Characters should be about thumbnail size for reference. Usually five to seven nibs tall when using a calligraphy pen and basically square in ratio as though made of lead or a wood block. Think of the spacing of the whole word as a horizontal block instead of as a single letter at a time, that will give you handsome easy to read text.

Prograns can mimic watercolor yes, in the sense that you will hold the pen and move it like a brush and the computer will approximate what would then happen irl (I have rebelle and can confirm) But YOUR particular situation is such that it will not help you ONE BIT. Your attitude is a big problem as well, you're like one of those idiots that cant be bothered to pick up a pencil and then claim to use ai because art was "gatekept" by artists (??lmao)

If you put pencil to paper and sometimes watercolor to paper for a couple weeks you'd improve much more than if you pretended to do so on a screen for the next year(or until you lose interest in the mirace software that didnt teach you by itself).
