If it's an MV and you can just mute all the clips this might not matter but if you do want any dialogue:
Prompt "no music" for everything and add it in post
Try to avoid dialogue on API because it sometimes picks a different voice, or just plain fucks it up, and it's easier to reroll on regular Grok if it does. Not a hard rule though

It added an unnecessary 'muh' to the API voice line, so I had to extend the original with moderator friendly instructions and the same voice line, then chop it in over the muted API bit (which I also forgot to prompt no music for) that's why the lipsync is slightly off

It doesn't have to be the last frame. You can pick any frame to start the API gen, and cut back to it in the editor for the stitch. Unlike an extend which seems to blend the transition, the API gen only has the one frame you give it, so anything you don't want it guessing at should be clear on that frame.

Likewise any movement prior to the cut you may need to prompt to prevent a jerk

Sometimes it's better to make an obvious jump cut instead of trying to blend them

Grok extends can be hit and miss, but for consistency you can prompt "immediate cut" and a different setup for the extension, and either cut and cover the jank with another gen, or just use the extension for frame extraction and only in the original in the final cut
Do as much as you can at 720. Zooming to cut some ai bullshit from the edge of a shot is less bad when you have more pixels to play with, and the cost bump is cheaper than a full Regen at 480

That's all I can think of for now.

I can't get the CLI to animate an image. I drop the image onto the CLI and get a Image #1 response to reference, but then the resulting video doesn't use the image to generate the video.
Grok keeps telling me that it will work, but it doesn't.
