Faster scenes with a lot of motion tend to need more steps, higher resolutions, and unambiguous prompting. I've had decent success but I've been avoiding it because of my hardware limitations. 10 minute gens don't bother me, but I only have to push it a little bit to turn those into 1hr+, so getting good coherent fast motion is prohibitive for me personally.

You probably have a better setup than me. I only have a 3060 with 12gb of vram and 64 gb ram. Do you use any speedups or turbo loras, how many steps do you usually run? I did this text to video with the 8 step turbo lora at .6 megapixels. Took about 25 minutes. If I could find settings that gave decent results, I wouldnt mind waiting if I had something decent I wanted to gen. Unfortunately testing is slow with my rig. I might try a shorter gen at higher step count to see if that helps.

I've had success with lightx2v turbo loras, but I've not tried the new ref2va specific one yet. Usually I use the 8 step turbo lora, at 8 steps, 0.4-0.6 strength usually does good with 20B pruned, 0.5-1.0 with the full 33B. When I want something nice I turn off the turbo lora and do 20 steps, I've played with more but I rarely see improvement beyond 20. I also use a Qwen3-VL quant (I don't recall off hand what specifically, I think it's INT8), and an FP8 VAE.

I put together a skill for pi agent, so far it's worked well with Sol. Made it from summarized versions of the docs for H3 and for WanGP, so I can discuss an idea with it then it spits out the prompt and specific settings for that gen to use. It's overkill but I'm happy with it. It can also just do it itself, it can launch WanGP on its own and prompt it directly but I haven't really bothered with that yet beyond testing. Paired with a good enough multimodal model could probably task it with making some fun stuff with very little input.

You would probably be able to do longer, high res gens at a similar speed with just a 3060Ti and 64GB of DDR5, which will cost a fraction of that thing.
