Since I didn't realize the last thread was ending, here's all of my veda test vids in one. I think I'll do a few more like this to get a feel for it. These are specifically REF2VA with a single reference image, all 1.2MP, running on a 5090.

Here's another test. This time, testing fast movements and trying it at .7MP. The difference between versions is far more pronounced at a lower resolution. The Veda only run doesn't get the makeup correct, and the turbo run struggles to converge any fast movements. I'll have to try this again at a higher res.

Back to high res shots, but keeping the action. Veda performs really well here, cutting gen time nearly in half for a 15 second gen. There are parts where I actually like the Veda gen more, as it looks more 2d.The turbo lora absolutely shits the bed here. The audio is screeching, and the quality takes notable dips every time there's a quick action.None of them did the leap between buildings shot from below correctly, but that comes down to prompting.

Moving on to the non-ref model. This one's a first frame last frame loop and I'm not actually sure what to make of it. These all ended up kind of bad in their own way.Both gens with Veda look largely pretty good, but add nipples where they're not supposed to be. The turbo one has bad sound as well, as you'd expect.The one with no speedups doesn't have the nipple problem, but it's slower, and blurry for some reason. Maybe I need to turn the loras up? I'm not sure what's going on with that.

I was inspired by seeing other people testing yesterday. I've run this Malon gen about 900 times today.For me, these are the results. I had AI normalize gen startup/load times, so these numbers are about as relative to each other as possible. Even on fresh reboots, I often see discrepancies in load times that muddy the final numbers.You'll just have to trust me bro on the audio. It's fine on all of them. I've heard her say that same thing enough times now.I see no real quality difference in these results.What did get me, though, is that I can't use my Low VRAM stuff with Veda. Head Chunks and Chunk Feed Forward are how I get away with 960x1280, and Veda isn't compatible with those, so this 768x1024 is it if I want to take advantage of Veda. However, this (perfectly adequate) lower res is literally 2x the speed. I was running the higher res, but then downscaling because I believed the end quality was better. Not sure I think it's worth it anymore.
