The edits were centred on creampie / impregnation fetish, so it was just copy pasting / cutting up the bubbles from a ref sheet or drawing cum. At some point, I moved to upscaling and eventually decensoring in addition to what I already was doing.Decensoring, at least in my opinion, has many overlaps with redrawing. You focus on the details (like you'd do with individual pixels if you want to do a good decensoring), but you do not at all care for the bigger picture that is the art itself, because that was already done. In my case, another artist already completed the artwork that im making an edit out of (backgrounds, compositions, colours) and in this guy's case, the AI already completed that groundwork for them. To put it another way, there is a very massive gap between redrawing and creating art / hentai from scratch, and that will only be very apparent if you threw yourself into the world of drawing art from scratch by yourself. Learning the fundamentals, colour theory, shadows & highlights & midtones, composition setups, observational drawing. Its something that takes vastly more effort compared to merely redrawing something or fixing mistakes that an AI makes. I'm only saying this because I moved onto learning how to draw (for ~21 months now) from doing redrawing edits. Redrawing can be a craft in of itself and takes genuine effort, but compared to drawing a tasteful piece of porn art, it is a creative non-starter.Maybe this guy perceived this gap of effort too large to cross and chose to stay within his domain (for now?). I certainly moved on.
