The addition of pure love and true routes let me think of the NTR as alternative scenarios which takes the edge of it for me, who's mostly in it for the kinks. What I like about the genre is the slow corruption of the characters and there's often a "pregnancy risk" which I find hot. As well as stuff like prostitution, public use, stripping/AV. The genre usually has a lot of kinks that appeal to me.Only wish there was more non asshole characters in the genre. I.e. women whos already horny still falling for clients who's just there to have a good time etc. Or impressionable youths. Those are my favourite kind.

But the build-up, the narration, and how it uses the voices/moans/SFX in some NTR VNs sometimes can be as good or even better than sprite-based games. >>8869265I have read Utaka No Tsubomi and the more recent one with the knight. The writing is top notch. It's so good that you almost feel bad that it's in an NTR doujin work. Utaka no Tsubomi is a REALLY dark story. Without going in to spoilers, it goes beyond normal NTR by making the character interactions feel like realistic emotional abuse and manipulation. I like certain scenes in it but the it is a bit too heavy for me to be honest. Also, despite being a very well written story, the ending wasn't very satisfying in my opinion. For the knight one, again it's a great story, but I didn't find it very erotic. The heroine and the mao almost feel like they're meant to be together more so than the the heroine and the protagonist. The heroine also isn't really my type. I have read many reviews that say their newest game's common route is so high quality it could be an all ages game on its own. I haven't played it myself though. I would start with Utakata No Tsubomi and see how you like it, or even the newest one, but be aware that you are signing up to read dozens of hours of story before you get any H scenes, that goes for pretty much all their games I think. TL;DR: they write extremely good, lengthy stories which then get retroactively "ruined" by NTR porn.
