Whats the big appeal of Anima vs Illustrious? Nah, you're not missing anything, no illustrious-killer exists locally today, but for me the... vibe, heightened prompt/comp understanding & curiousity I have for testing ideas on a new model that attempts to reach the "capability" of closed source products is a huge part of the appeal.but it is slower, sometimes lack of varation, and how it interacts with styling & artists are things some don't accurately critique, having those drawbracks while ALSO being a unrefined base model isn't enough to be a true upgrade.and honestly I was expecting more from the base version of the model, calling the first 3 versions "previews" while the "base" isn't a dramatic improvement is kinda dissapointing. but who knows, maybe they'll release more versions of anima, maybe those versions will take it from a sidegrade to an upgrade.
