I'm not sure, unfortunately I'm not an expert with it either. The couple of tests I ran earlier seemed to work fine. If it was just trying to download them too fast I'd think it would be another kind of error. There's options to wait some amount of time between downloads in case that helps

By the way, I've been using Hydrus Network to download stuff instead because it imports all the tags with the images, but it seems to go a lot more slowly than gallery-dl. It can be a bit of work to figure out too though if you're new too it and there's plenty of settings I haven't messed with yet
