I could use some guidance from the better read among you.

I’ve developed a taste for hyper-realistic stories involving cheating and/or blackmail. Realistic storylines, and realistic art too: no exaggerated body proportions.

Blackmail as trifling as a son getting expelled, or a devoted housewife and mother turning into a hyper-sexual slut after two drinks, won’t do it for me. But a man slowly ingratiating himself with a female co-worker, becoming the friend she tells her husband or boyfriend not to worry about, biding his time, preying on her insecurities, fanning the flames of their arguments, and eventually striking when she’s low or vulnerable or hurt — ESPECIALLY if she regrets it later, and conceals it — well, that’s the good stuff.

So far the Confessions of Akiko Kurata and Fork in the Road are close, but I need more.

I’ll dump Akiko Kurata in the meantime, in the tentative hope some sage will happen by with recommendations.
