They are quite serviceable "porn with plot" Eroge, it's like a Nukige that tries to have more plot than usual, it is not serious enough to escape the Nukige aspect but the plot is there.

If you liked the first game you should play Gaiden and 2 at least, it is a trilogy with the same cast. Starting from 3 they became new chapters, with new characters.

Samsiel is the best girl, at first she seems like the usual horny Succubus that takes a passing interest in the protagonist but as the story and series goes she turns out to be one the most loyal heroines ever, doing everything to make her man rise to power and fame. It's nice to see Lute recognize that at the end of his saga.

Shamsiel's voice actress is so good that I even considering looking for other works she did, just so I can hear more of her. Though I don't remember if the Game and Animation voice actress are the same. It has been quite some time since I played the first game.

Yes, Kanematsu Yuka also voices Shamsiel in the hentai anime, I think most, if not all, voices are the same between the game and anime.

Also yes, the series got a manga, a mainstream one, adaptation starting this year in 2026, only a few chapters available. I'm honestly surprised it took this long, the original game was a certified success for Waffle soon after the original release, the first game already had plenty of plot that takes itself a little seriously (enough for a harem romance anyway) to warrant a mainstream manga adaptation as far as back then.

Although, by now the Kyonyuu Fantasy series has reached true hall of fame status 17 years later with so many new entries since, so I guess Waffle wants to celebrate and confidently release a mainstream manga knowing no one can diminish it as "a mere Eroge adaptation".

They are pretty good if you are into harem, pregnancy and lactation.

They are nukige at heart though, so don't expect too much plot, not on the levels Kyonyuu Fantasy anyway. Although the latest title, Spy Gakuen, did have a little more plot than usual.

Kyounyuu Fantasy had its 5th mainline release just last year, and Waffle keeps releasing Eroge each year, and Taiminin itself keeps RPGX with all the adult content, despite the mainstream attempt with Action Taimanin and Squadra. The core concept of Taimanin is not like Fate, it is much harder to escape its origins.

I don't know why people keep making this Fate Series comparison, from day one of Type Moon operations you could tell they were never a Eroge circle, the sex scenes were like an afterthought.
