Why do muslims bury their dead the next day? And why do christians wait 1 week?
>>

Muslim corpses start screaming out in pain because of the torments of hell if left out too long. The cold dirt comforts them.

Judeochristians are the ones burning in jahannan tho

You smell like shit now, Paki. I can't even imagine how much worse you will smell when you are boiling in shit in Gehinnom next to Yeshu.

>1 week
More like 2 days. You clearly have never lost a relative.
>>
>>18486835
4-5 days where i live, at least
>die
>if it's in the evening, sent to the morgue the next day
>a day to prepare the body
>meanwhile planning the funeral
>another 1-2 days for people to pay their respects
>set a time and date for the church service (a sunday morning usually isn't going to work)
>funeral itself
it's usually close to a week. recently lost a close relative as well
and 2 days, how on earth? it takes at least a day to prepare the grave let alone get everything sorted with the undertaker and the Church

My dad died during the night between Saturday and Sunday (about 1 AM). We buried him on Monday. I live in the Balkans.

can you explain a bit more in detail the steps inbetween his death bed and his eternal resting place, because this sounds like a very quick procedure. i live in NW Europe btw
>>
>>18486874
should have mentioned Catholic. don't know if there's much difference with the proddies but probably worth mentioning

Well as I said he died around 1 or 2 in the morning. We had called an ambulance previously, but he was already dead by the time they came. I was in shock as you can probably understand.
The ambulance guy gave me a number of a burial agency. They work 24/7 I think, because I called him around 2 in the morning and he answered. He came in 15 minutes, looked at my dad and told us what to do. He returned in about an hour with 2 more guys and they carried him to their bus and took him to their agency to be processed or whatever.
At around 8 in the morning (this is Sunday) we went there to figure out how we are going to bury him, choose a casket and ceremony and meet with other relatives.
At 10 the next day (Monday) there was the funeral procession. A lot of people came, there were speeches and whatever and then he was buried.

I'm a bible belt burger and >>18486844 sounds pretty normal to me, although generally closer to the lower end of that estimate. I'd consider a full week a long time, but two days a short time.
>>
>>18486885
fugg, you people don't mess around. i guess that must have been a very long sunday for everyone involved
still can't really wrap my head around how you die in a sunday and get buried on a monday. it's not like your father was going anywhere
>>

I think they hurry up, because the body starts to decompose quickly. In the west they probably preserve the bodies using different balms, but it's probably more expensive, so they skip it here.
The funeral wasn't even that expensive. I think I payed around 600 Euro in total. That was for the casket, the ceremony and the grave. You have to pay extra after that for them to build the tombstone and the other ornaments around the grave and that could cost up to a few thousand.

At the end of the day losing your father is probably one of the worst things that could happen to you and would not wish it on my worst enemies. Expecially if you are as close to your father as I was. He unironically was the best person I know and my closest friend by far. You never truly recover from something like this. It has been 3 years and I still sometimes tear up thinking about him.

Muslims tend to live in more arid climates (re. Africa and the Middle East) and corpses start decomposing far more quickly. Christians and Jews in Europe can more readily afford to wait to bury their dead because the colder climate slows the start of decomposition.
>>
>>18487153
i highly doubt that's the reason. lack of embalming and/or refrigeration sounds way more likely as >>18486955 pointed out
>>
>>18486713
You know how muslim men are, can't leave female corpses out too long before they find some excuse to start fucking them
>>
nobody waits a week. Imagine the smell

@grok is this true
