JW were created in the 19th century, that's hardly a reason to disregard their reasonings. In my Bible, the apostles refer to Jesus as being the top G. :

From there, it follows that people would think hard to reconcile the numerous problems with a man being God, the Trinity is a consensus between the Churches founded by the Apostles. Nope. The word 'god' can describe several characters in the Bible, with various senses and in various degrees.

'God' (El/Theos) basically means "powerful one".

It can be used of angels (Psalm 8:5), prophets (Exodus 7:1), human judges (Psalm 82:6), kings (Psalm 45:6) and even Satan (2 Corinthians 4:4)

Moses was called god because God gave him the power to accomplish miracles in front of pharaoh.

Judges were called gods because they had authority over Israel.

Jesus is called god because he is a mighty being, who was granted rulership in heaven and on earth.

When it says there is only one God it is the sense of being the eternal, omniscient and omnipotent Creator. And I agree that only one person fits this description: Jehovah.

Jesus, as King of King and Lord of Lords, can also be said to be our God because the "head of every man is Christ". But the same verse also says "the head of Christ is God" (1 Corinthians 11:3)

It does make sense. Archangel means 'chief of the angels'. Jesus was given all authority in Heaven, so he commands the celestial army.
