>>18488573Sounds like the Dutch were the good guys, barbarism was just a few isolated cases and they wanted to educate the natives. The Dutch should have sent a few frigates to roam the strait destroying every vessel trying to get to Taiwan until the Chinese give up, then they could populate it with settlers like the Boers, but I guess the Republic was too greedy, they only wanted nutmeg and other memes to the south.
