Will we ever be allowed to like the confederates?

I am NOT racist. But i don't understand why we cannot venerate the confederacy as valiant losers. Similar to the trojans and carthiginians who were defeated but went down as heroic parties in our culture. Will we ever see the confederacy like that?

>before the Republican victory
slavery is race-based, the majority of the population can not be enslaved. Most States don't accept slavery as a legal institution and are actively hostile to the idea of slaves as a type of property.
>after the Republican victory
Anybody in any State or Territory of the United States can be enslaved and held in bondage for any reason.

The Confederates fought and died for your liberty.
