When two different groups of people mix, the resulting group identifies with one of the groups or a new ethnicity entirely. What are the most key factors which influences which outcome occurs?
>>18492032Ethnicities are defined by politics.
>>18492032Presence and size of the source populations nearby

>>18492032SSA traits are usually quite dominant, so much so that many mullatos can pass as 100% black. I think that's an underrated cause of the one-drop rule. The opposite seems to be true for Abbos, though the one-drop rule is still maintained in Australia for political/cultural reasons.
>>18492055(It's biology + culture. If biology shifts your appearance towards one group, you'll of course seek to identity with them unless politically discouraged to do so. If you're not too connected to the other group and have no reason to seek such a relationship, you'll probably want to become your own thing.)

>>18492055>SSA traits are usually quite dominantIt's mostly because the hominid proto SSAs mixed with was very archaic, and the homo Sapiens Idaltu himself was very far away from Eurasians that are cousins.
>>18492603> It's mostly because the hominid proto SSAs mixed with was very archaicHow would this cause their traits to dominant? Abbos likely have similar levels of archaic ancestry, with a bit of it basically confirmed to come from fucking Erectus, yet they're bleached extremely easily. This is unimportant, but I'm not sure if I'd describe the West-African ghost hominid (most likely Rhodesiensis) as "very archaic".
>>18492629>How would this cause their traits to dominant?Genetic dominance is more or less a function of gene age, an inherent resistance against novel traits for safety
>>18492032It's impossible for two different groups to mix.

>>18493176In that case, it wouldn't be due solely to archaic admixture. Many SSA traits that aren't necessarily archaic (very dark skin, tropical build, afro hair, etc) are also quite old due to Sapiens evolving in Africa.
