Were the Māori stronger than the Berserkers?

300 Viking berserkers vs 300 Maori warriors, who wins?
>>
>>18493685
Not fair since Vikings were using steel and iron while Maoris were using stone and wood.
>>
>>18493681
The average Maori was stronger than the average viking, but the strongest berserker would beat the strongest Maori warrior.

Depending on where on Earth the battle is fought, wooden weapons could be an advantage. If they're fighting in the tropics, then the Vikings have to carry heavy steel and iron weapons and armor in scorching heat. Are they fighting on sandy ground? Heavy-laden vikings would sink into the sand, needing more energy just to walk.

Non-white people have scary bug eyes.

The crusades were pretty hot and sandy. I didn't see any side ditching their weapons or armor for caveman weapons.
>>
>>18493681
Vikings because they have better weapons and armor.

Maori are clowns they're not even indigenous
>>
>>18494357t
They are though
>b-but this infograph i saw on /pol/ told me these moriori were the real indigenous peepo of NZ!
No, the Moriori are indigenous to only the Chatham Archipelago and scholars generally agree they themselves are an offshoot of the Maori

Uh huh, and everyone in the Carribean are Tainos too, huh? Dumb nigger.

I dont think you realize humans crossed the wallace line before the pacific covered most of former Sunda.

the sarazens were far lighter armored and the whole point of a berserker is that he is naked or at least unarmored.

but in general of course the parameters matter. are they marching to a battle, where is the battle, or do we just teleport them to a battlefield? I assume maori are also more differentiated as warriors, where berserker are a specific kind of viking and especially not the kind that organizes well on a battlefield.

Vikings vs Maori I would give the advantage to Vikings, Berserkers vs Maori I think the Maori have an edge, despite steel swords

Depends on when
Maori modernized a lot, Musket War era Maori (or the ones rebelling against British rule for that matter) would wipe the floor with vikings
>>
>>18494582
I think you will find musket era Danes and Swedes to be quite formidable.
>>
>>18493681
Māori are overrated by Brit’s who exaggerate the prowess of everyone they conquer. Did the same with the Zulus and Boers too
>>
>>18494582
>if we just pit these guys with 900 years of technological advancements against medieval warriors, they can win
not helping your case
>>
>>18494668
>everyone they conquer
*who put up a notable fight
>>
>>18494696
New Zealand was uninhabited during the actual viking age though?
when I think Maori warfare I mostly think 19th century desu
