Ancient Egyptians spent most of the time barechested and barefoot. Is there any reason why it wouldn’t be comfortable for modern Egyptians to dress the same way?

Modern Egyptians are Muslim Arabs who believe in modesty and covering up, wearing the mandatory abaya. Ancient Egyptians were polytheist weirdoes who walked around naked all the time, enslaved the Jews, and worshipped men and falcons and jackals, and other animals. Lol.

No need for shoes unless you're walking on a hard surface all the time. Walking on concrete and asphalt hurts your bare feet worse than walking on dirt or mud.
