In fact the closest analogue I can draw is to a tribe of aboriginal australians that also practiced normative polygamy, they were self reliant; A society wholly dependent on an outside society for regulation and waste disposal is nothing short of unviably parasitic.Not that social structures have a race or anything.I will be checking the book out, though. Polygamy is still very prevalent in Africa and the Middle East OP.Maybe Islam is more your speed.
