Once I understand that all the wonderful ideologies, from Marxism to centrism, fail to take into account people's natural dispositions, it becomes even sadder that billions of people seriously debate, study, and discuss them, and that entire layers of historical scholarship now seem to me useless intellectual masturbation and role-playing. Literally, all truly effective political thought ended with the French Empire, and the social benefits of the early 20th century were not politics, but technological advancement and population growth. Therefore, there are no ideas other than liberalism on the American model, and there is no country other than the United States, and the Westoids who ridicule this system simply don't understand how much worse things could be.
