Like if an English person constantly goes back to some old era like the Golden Age of Piracy and says "look back then we had a great empire" "if you read this book from the 1600s it will show you how we need to live now" he will be mocked and told to move on with life and this is too long ago and times change etc. Likewise a French person who went to Louis XV's era for his blueprint and instruction on life would be laughed at and told we are in modern times now, and so on.

However Muslims in the modern day take all their ideas and information on life from medieval scholars like Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Al Qayyim, and this is seen as completely normal for them to do this.

Nobody questions why a Muslim child in 2026 is opening a book from the 1500s to tell him the answers to life's problems. It's seen as standard protocol that Muslims will take their life guidance from writers hundreds and hundreds of years ago. However Westerners only source old works and texts for information or to get clarity on something, but they do not use these old historical figures as father-like figures to fix their lives in the way Muslims do.

You have absolutely no fucking idea what you're talking about.

These are such weird threads. I wish I knew who makes them and why exactly
>>

Nonwhites obsessed with whites and writing essays again about why white people do something that’s usually just their own made up delusions.

First there’s the bible. Also lots of religious and occult inclined white people read medieval books. I’m sure it’s just some dumbass that thought he had soemthing(he didn’t). White people still read Plato and aristiotle etc.

Oh really? if any Western person even makes a thread or a talking point related to gleaning an ideal life from the 1950s America he is mocked and humiliated and laughed out of town and told to grow up and move on with life and accept things change. NOBODY takes him seriously.

This sort of thing doesn't happen in the Islamic world where a scholar will tell a Muslim man who is having problems with marriage or finances or whatever to "go to the books of Ibn Taymiyyah" "Go to the books of Barbahari" and that is simple basic normal advice for any Muslim. No Muslims are questioning why another Muslim needs medieval era scholars to solve his problems in life today. It is normal. But that is NOT normal in any way even for Christians in today's era.

From 1950s real life or 1950s advertising for product?
>>
>>18499773
Again wtf are you talking about?

Many many people have expressed a desire for a 1950s style traditional life repeatedly and many agree with them.

Not every little thought in your head is worth writing out and sharing anon.

Because muslims are retarded next question
>>
>>18499727
Westerners are told their history is evil and that they should be ashamed of their ancestors

Partly because of people like (You) obsessively bringing up the heckin' Crusades in current year as a means of vilifying Europeans

>Many many people have expressed a desire for a 1950s style traditional life repeatedly and many agree with them.

They don't agree with them though they make fun of them. And that's just as recent as the 1950s. No Christian is reading the church fathers to make sense of life today and if he is he certainly is not recommending their books to other Christians at the school gates or at work. Muslims DO do this for their classical scholars. Every Muslim reads Abu Hanifa, Ahmad Ibn Hanbal and Ibn Taymiyyah, their works are discussed, shared and circulated with as much relevance today as any modern thinker or figure. The Western world doesn't work like this. If someone is old or ancient they are mocked and considered worthless or respected but of no use in modern times.

Hold on, let me try something. Mohammed was raped by black men. Zutt Zutt in the butt!

Muslim dominated countries in Africa, the Middle East, and even parts of Asia still literally stone people to death with a certain degree of regularity to this day. Afghanistan is probably the most recent country to begin doing this again.

Because it's prescribed by Sharia law.

Let's compare this to orthodox Jews, who haven't stoned people to death in a long time despite their desire to uphold the law of Moses as written in Torah.
Nominally, this is because the Sanhedrin no longer exists. So there's no authoritative legal body which could actually impose that death penalty. To me, this has important implications for much of that law, and hence the entire covenant system.

There are foreign governments on 4chan trying to demoralize you, and degenerate the West.

>The Western world doesn't work like
The western world is actively being attacked by foreign governments, and other internal agitators, who feel oppressed, or want to destroy the western world. Its a deliverate attack, not confusion, or missunderstanding. Its not random Anon. There are university programs committed to convincing citizens that all reality is subjective, so thatvthe western framework can be dismantled. This is intended to destroy whatever currently exists (patriarchy is one example), and create a power vacume for something else (foreign government, or other oppressed class).

This is the foundation of our society. These foundations are deliberately being attacked. Its not by mistake. Principalities and powers are deliberately attacking the foundation of our culture Anon.

>No Christian is reading the church fathers to make sense of life today

Actually, they do. Most don't, since most people don't really even know about the saints due to protestantism.
I find St Anthony's insight about madness and sanity in society particularly deep and extremely relevant to our current era, for example.

Anyways, your idea that every Muslim reads this stuff is simply wrong.
Most Muslims were illiterate through the 19th century. Which was the common state of affairs for most of the world. I suspect most regular Muslims who aren't online all the time also aren't typically engaged with academic extracurriculars.

>Actually, they do
No they don't lmao. dawahtard is being a retard as always but I can guarantee your average catholic is not relying on the guidance of the church fathers to navigate his or her way through life
>>
The entire goal of Islam is recreating life as it was lived for three generations in early Medieval Arabia. That’s their religion’s whole purpose. Why are we surprised they cling to old texts?
