Modern Marvels, R. Lee Ermey, Decisive Battles, Battle 360°. What am I missing?
They make entertainment, but I'm not in this life to be entertained.
I wish I was a stoner in the 2000s because looking back most of the shit they made was for stoners awake at 1 AM with shit like Ancient Aliens
>>18506143The WWII documentaries from the 90s were kino.
>>18506238Ancient Aliens was a 2010s show.
>>18506386You're right but for some reason it felt more like a mid-late 2000s show to me. I think it's because I remember seeing Giorgio Tsoukalos, the shows host, as a guest on other slop shows before that or maybe I'm just having some false memories
>>18506143The further back you go, the better their stuff gets. As far as I remember - though I was very young - in the early days, they actually had decent documentaries. But it got more and more sloppified as time went on, until all you saw was Swamp People, Pawn Stars and Ancient Aliens. Very bizarre how an ostensibly scholarly channel was turned into a channel for retarded rednecks.
>>18506143The history channel never recovered from Ice Road Truckers and pawn stars. They canned documentaries for obese men yelling at each other while doing jobs
After the period where like half of what they aired was Hitler documentaries, the channel went to total shit. After the Hitler Channel, History Channel became a channel for retarded white trash, watching fat retarded rednecks sell shit to fellow fat rednecks
Modern marvels is their only show of any value. Even then half the episodes are boomer bait like “the corvette” or other boomer autism. Some episodes are clearly ads like “batman tech” right as batman begins was released.
>>18506143>Did they make anything good?Back when it was the Hitler Channel and pretty much did WWII all day erry day, it was good.
>>18507086That shit was airing at a very strategic time in my life, I think I was 12 around then.
>>18506143For me it's Discovery History because they had Battlefield and a bunch of other slow and boring history documentaries that injected me with terminal autism.
>>18506143Early cable where discovery and even TLC (the learning channel) had PBS-tier documentaries.
