Why are they so insanely delusional about their own history even compared to other delusional people? Especially Albanians, Turks and Greeks. Kings of revisionist history.
My favourite Balkan revisionist history trope is the Ottoman occupation one where somehow every other balkan country got destroyed but only theirs stood strong. They'll point to their legendary hero Turkkilleric/Roachstompokis/Muslimfuckerul and how he's the most feared commander in history and to this day Turks piss and shit themselves in fear and start shaking and screaming upon hearing his name. Then you dig into said person's history and it's some literal nobody only known in his home country whos legacy is resisting for a year or two and then getting dogwalked like a bitch.
>>18507223Listening to Albanians talk about Skanderbeg youd think he was some absolute god when the clown jusr deserted and ran a resistance league against the ottomans who didnt care enough to properly destroy it. Doesnt even make the history books kek
>>18507248Skanderbeg was a very capable individual but its really only Albanians who think he destroyed the Ottomans. The mans campaigns for the empire had more impact than the campaigns against for christs sake
they're all identical fake ethnicities so they really need to compensate
>>18507210haha le zany balkan nationalism amirite r/historymemes xD
>>18507210Because they're very similar in certain ways but also very different which makes them overcompensate with absolute bullshit half the time
>>18507431Projection, fuck you and your faggot subreddit you pretend to hate
>>18507443aww anon didn't karma for his remove kebab joke :(
>>18507431found the seething balkanigger
>>18507248Historically, he is remembered for creating the League of Lezhe, which helped lay the foundation for the Albanian nation. Before that, it was divided into principalities and clans with mainly local loyalties. His resistance against the Ottomans is also highly respected, although facing the Ottoman Empire alone could only have one outcome. The TikTok history version is mostly a form of overcompensation for Islamization and a response to mostly the hostility of neighboring countries acting morally superior because of religion and other stuff
>>18507210>Romanian (Şerbán): patronymic from the Romanian personal name Şerb, Şerbu from şerb ‘serf, slave’ from Latin servus.tf, why would you name your kid "slave"? what is wrong with romanians?
