Was the CCP justified in it's actions here?
No.But after the Cultural Revolution the CCP has had enough of chimping out college students so I kinda understand why they went hard.
>>18513118The CCP is still around thanks to their brutality. So for them, it was.
Absolutely. The "peaceful students" were deeply infiltrated by the CIA. Had they had their way, China would have fallen to capitalism just like Russia, Poland, Czechoslovakia and the whole Eastern Bloc. China did the right thing when the "peaceful students" turned violent after 6 weeks of protests.
>>18513118Soviet Union forgot to do this and they're history now
>killing Maoists to ensure the supremacy of state capitalismyup, I'm thinkin it's based
>>18513118The outrage around this incident is just concern trolling.
>>18513207China is capitalist though? Or more facist. But it's defiantly not communist.
>>18513118If the CCP was justified then why do they still forbid Chinese people from talking about it or reading about it lol.
>>18513124Impossible to say that they would've overthrown the CCP if they hadn't all been killed
>>18513118The violent crackdown was unneeded. There were similar protests in Shanghai that were resolved peacefully.
>>18513408Even Soviet Union did not achieve communism as it is impossible to do so for a single country alone. Communism is the end goal - culmination of centuries of hard work, technological advancements and growth of productive forces. China is still in the primary stage of socialism and will stay like that for a very long time.
>>18513699>Communism is the end goalIt's quite the opposite, it's the default for small tribal groups, the problem is that it doesn't scale up for large nations, it will always fail and always be corrupted. You can see successful communism observed in remote jungle tribes where everything is held in common.
>>18513207Violence against communist governments is always justified
>>18513745Maybe communism is impossible to actually implement, but it's still a noble dream worth pursuing. At the very least it keeps people focused on the socialist path.

>>18513118>>18513766They prevented their country from turning into troontown. They’re heros
>>18513118College students constantly mistaking their theoretical knowledge and lack of experience as expertise and injecting themselves into matters they don't understand is annoying. I'll just say I get it.
>>18513924>Muh trannieskys
>>18513766All class traitors and bourgeois wreckers ought to watch their children starve to death
>>18514116Race is more of a class than class is. You have much more in common with a rich businessman who's the same race as you than you do with an immigrant who's not your race and who just happens to earn a wage just like you.
>>18513118No, the regime was afraid of the trouble and let the army attack. The regiment sent to maintain order was from the boonies, to ensure they would not sympathize with the students. They could have used other ways to put an end to the protests, but the regime chose violence. And because these events left a brand into the leaders minds the control over the population is stronger than ever.
>>18513118It can "be" justified. Reality it was pretty fucked up, there were military units which disobeyed orders, refused to leave their barracks. I don't think anyone over there is proud of it.Context that I think gets lost is that this kind of thing can happen in poor countries with authoritarian governments that are actually quite chaotic and bad at repressing people with more efficient measures. Now this is unlikely to happen in China today because the police are way better organized, but they didn't even have a single 911-style police telephone dispatch system anywhere in the country until the late 1980s. China is a huge country as well, so it's authoritarian but also disorganized in various ways, like there are millions of bureaucrats but also not enough bureaucrats. In any even the idea that the more totalitarian states of the past (Maoist China, Stalinist USSR) were highly organized and efficient is a total myth.Like relying on struggle sessions to maintain political discipline and selecting out who the "enemies" are is really a crazy kind of emergency situation that you only really see in revolutionary periods where there's a lot of uncertainty:https://youtu.be/8s6o47N7yrINow you get this:https://youtu.be/u--cQWrNO_4>They are the guardians of national security. You are certainly one in 1.4 billion who are surrounded by a sense of security. Because national security is omnipresent; it's something you've taken for granted, but it's their life's purpose.
>>18513924Chiang Kai-shek wouldn't have allowed this. Fault is with Lee Teng-hui and the Pan-Green retards he created.
>>18513766It is when you're not replacing them with Capitalismus.Communismus is hell - but You're not racemixing. You're run by terror and chud manlet jews but instead You want to: just ease on terror but keep everything the same & add (probably) indians to your country.
>>18513118Yes, the USSR should have done the same
