Which empire was the most tolerant empire?

Notice how all of them are muslim or have their successor states eventually turn to Islam. Allah is truly most humble and the greatest

Rather than using the world 'tolerant,' a lot of confusion and misconception could have been avoided if the leftist historians used the word 'pragmatic.'

The Ottomans/Mughals etc etc etc were brutal, but they were also pragmatic enough to realise mass forced conversions and massacre could only encourage rebellion as well as killing off their tax-paying bases. And every rich noble wants to lie on a bed of money.

Leftists hate the word "pragmatism" because they associate it with bloodthirsty "The means justify the ends"-type people like Henry Kissinger.

probably the sassanid empire and only for a few decades under a certain kings they were very tolerant for the most part

As a leftist I associate it with Chinese ideological flexibility in the post-Mao era.

Ottoman at most tolerant was the most tolerant of all four. In general, the Mongols; if you weren’t their adversary in any way.

On that list, the Mongols basically just went "Pay your tithes and don't fuck with our men and we'll leave you alone." They weren't big on that whole suppression of culture thing.

Mongols weren't tolerant.
>when Michael, one of the princes of Russia, came to submit to Bati, the Tartars first tried to make him pass between two fires. After this they said that he should bow south to Chingis Khan, but he replied that he would gladly bow to Bati and his servants but not to the image of a dead man because this is improper for a Christian. When he was repeatedly told through his son Yaroslav that he must bow, and yet he refused, Bati ordered Prince Michael killed if he would not bow. Prince Michael of Chernigov was passed between fires in accordance with ancient Turco-Mongol tradition. Batu Khan sent to stab him to death for his refusal to do obeisance to Chingis Khaan's shrine in the pagan ritual imposed by the conqueror. The prince replied that he "preferred to die rather than do what was wrong". Bati sent Michael to one of his followers who trampled on his chest with his boots until the prince died.

Mughals. They were very tolerant to Hindus contrary to propoganda which eventually lead to their downfall.
