Whatever the prophet says in hadiths are just the prophet's words (alleged), while the Quran is said by the prophet to be God's word. There is no disagreement with this among all Muslims and secular scholars of Islam.Nonetheless, I am not saying that to downplay the great value Muslims generally see in hadiths. They are still pretty important to most Islamic interpretations.
