Do you every feel genuine child-like awe and wonder? Does everything have to be political? Does everything need to have an agenda behind it? Just to be genuinely excited and curious about where everything came from and what the ultimate truths are like a pure-hearted little child would be. Not worrying about some internet debate or politics or argument or ideological positions or trying to prove something, or anything like that at all because all of that stuff would simply be nonexistent in your mind. Do you see my point?

Would you think that the more you can have this mentality, the more stress free life you could live with more liberation. I certainly do think so. If you look at little children they're so much happier than adults are because they don't deal with those things.

I wasn't happy as a child and unhappiness comes from material circumstances not perspective

Only when I'm asleep

yeah but only because i stopped checking the news and media feeds
its surprising how wonderful the world is when you dont have "LOOK AT THIS ONE COOL HACK", 'LATEST ON TRUMPS NEW PLAN....", and "CAR INSURANCE BUY CAR INSURANCE" constantly in your face

Weed. Pop some edibles, you'll get that same childlike wonder back I promise

But really, it's not actually as hard to block cynicism from your life, you just have to realize that 99% of shit in this world doesn't deserve to be taken seriously. The 1% is your family. That should be the only exception, as far as everything else goes though, if you stop taking it seriously, you begin to see everything as just kind of funny and ridiculous instead, which is preferable to being a cynical retard in my opinion. Think about it this way, everything has caveats, everything has two sides, it doesn't matter. At the end of the day things will just find their medium without your intervention. Don't feel the weight of the world on your shoulders. Or as the Romans would say, NIHIL SVB SOL NOVUUM EST. There is nothing new under the sun

Yes, the universe is awesome.

The key is to keep being curious and keep asking questions.
>>

This is also true. In fact, studies have shown that curiosity can be an effective counter against "Mean World Syndrome" and misinformation as well.

Going outside more is also effective because it helps you realize just how little shit all the negative shit you see in the media even matters (it doesn't). It's harder to see that when you're just inside all day. Fresh air, sun and exercise can do wonders for your mental health and sense of well-being. I recommend getting yourself a bicycle and using it to commute places as a good start. Don't ditch your car if you still need it obviously but just do little things like that for yourself

Yeah, paying attention to the sensation of walking really helps. It's actually so cool.
What you're describing with politics and the like reminds me of something I think they called the "conceptual fallacy" - concepts exist to enrich our experience but we often somehow end up replacing our experiences by conceptualizations. Before you know it, your meal is gone and you don't remember a single bite because you thought about some bullshit. What we gotta do is keep conceptualization in check. Sometimes just walk.

I know exactly what you mean. And I agree, people need to learn and stop and just think about little things like that sometimes.

Material reality isn't even real, atoms are just bundles of energy and force.

Energy and force is real retard and so is material reality
