Why do the English and the French get no shade for calling themselves after the Angles and Franks and having a very tenuous connection to those people while Turks get shit on daily for their claim of heritage
What do you mean? The English literally frown upon the term Anglo-Saxon and banned it from Academia. The French deny all connections to their Frankish past and claim they are Gauls, not Germanics.Turks on the other hand are widely accepted as being the descendants of the converted Imperial population of the conquered Byzantine Empire. They aren't shit on for it.
>>18526972The English have been calling themselves English for 1,500 yearsThe Turks have been calling themselves Turks for barely a century
Its because Turkey is the successor state to the most successful muslim entity in history. History has a pro western/christian bias so naturally turkey will criticized more.I mean Turks (as in people of Turkey) are also genetic native Anatolians but millions of people unironically think they are invaders from central asia and not turkified locals.
>>18527836>if you LARP long enough it becomes trueKind of a based mindset, actually.
>>18527870nah not really
Imagine if the Frenchs pretended to be pure blooded Germanics and then proceed to claim that Prussians and Vikings were Frenchs, then they claim that Russian peoples are French, then become insane and pretend that the entire world are French and declare that Gallia is the original homeland of the GermanicsThat's what you niggers do, you have a bit of Turkic heritage and suddenly the entire Turkic world is yours to claim, including the vast majority of Turkic peoples who never walked in Anatolia. Then the next day you hear that Mongols are somewhat related to Turkics so Mongols are Turks now. Then the next day you abandon sanity so Etruscans, Goths, Native Americans and aliens are Turkish people from Anatolia, because that's where Turkic people came from according to Turkish historians
>>18526972>Turks get shit on daily for their claim of heritageJust because a few turk hater timmy weaklings are irreperably buckbroken and butthurt in an anonymous image board doesn't mean we give a fuck about their worthless opinions.
>>18527682>The English literally frown upon the term Anglo-Saxon and banned it from AcademiaUtter nonsense
>>18526972The core genetic of the english people is still mostly the pre-roman britonsFor the French their ruling élite had been of frankish stock for over 1300 yearsIts the "Turks" that keep bragging being the pride of the Turkic people worldwide, when the overwelmingly majority of them are almost entirely descendants of native anatolian farmers subjects that switched to speak turkish during the Ottoman Age. Hearing some 100% pure pontic-lazic claiming to be at the same time the direct descendant of Tengri, Seljuk, Alp Aslan and Mehmet II is both hillarious and sad at the same time
>>18528261I still think the Revolution should had gone full deep in their antiquity LARP by changing the name of France into Gaul, as some members of the National Congress proposed. After all, why keeping the name of the Country imposed by the ancestors of the same nobility you just genocided/exiled?If you want to LARP as someone already said, at least have the decency to go balls deep on it
>>18528261>VGH.....the AYYTÜRK of the Aldebaran system (Real name "KARALDEBARAN")....the original homeland of the Tengri space riders....
>>18526972In my experience I've seen far more people complain whenever Turks claim the achievements of pre-turkic Anatolia, such as the Hittites or Greeks or whoever, saying they only got there a few 100 years ago and have no connection to the deep past of the area. I think people just hate Turks in general and look for any excuse to shit on them. And I can't really blame them.
>>18527682>Turks on the other hand are widely accepted as being the descendants of the converted Imperial population of the conquered Byzantine Empire. No they aren't. They also don't identify as such.
>>18528597>The core genetic of the english people is still mostly the pre-roman britonsNo it isn't.
