A foreign power with highly advanced technology did send a small expeditionary force to your land, because that's what colonialism was.Did all of the Native Americans/Mesoamericans/Africans unite in a common diplomatic front? No, they tried to woo the new kingmakers, offer concessions for technology, get their rule legitimized as proxies, use the newcomers as allies against their enemies etc.They only presented a united front after the colonizers were well into killing and taking over their land but it was too late.
