If we can’t communicate with the North Sentinel Islanders, how do we even know they don’t want to interact with modern society? the only things we know is:
>they have had iron tools for thousands of years despite being on a small island
>they know more advanced human exist
>they accept gifts from outsiders
>they are extremely hostile to outsiders, outside of a one off event in 1991
>we have footage of them speaking and and some books and dairy of people trying to understand their language
send a fly drone, learn their language. try to communicate with them and see who wants to stay or leave

Do you mean to imply members of """modern society""" North Sentinel insiders, or that extreme hostility is the North Sentinelese way to express their desire for interaction?

we don’t know their cause we can’t interact. based on my research, they have been there for thousands of years and have access to metal, despite being on an isolated island with like a couple hundred people. so how did they get that mental. only thing i could think of is they traded for the mental from outside, possibly arab or Chinese explorers. and their hostility to outsiders is due to probably bad contact with outsiders. we only know of an elderly couple and kids captured by the british in 1880s, but the elderly died due to sickness and kids returned. so that probably shaped their future views on outsiders
also the other tribes in that area who made contact with outsiders have been decimated by disease. so they resisting is probably smart

>how do you know they don't want to interact with me???
>*spearchucker chucks spear into OP's chest*
>OP on his dying breath: b-b-but how do you KNOW? i'm not like the other girls. they don't know the real me so they can't know if they want to interact with me...

The thing with "uncontacted tribes" like this or groups in the Amazon is that they seldom actually are, at least to a degree. They almost always without exception are trading and interacting with the next tribe over who actually is in contact with the outside world or knows a third tribe who is. But because no one was recording any of it in written language and it was out in the jungle or ocean, no "civilized" people heard about it. Like how we know the "unconnected" Australian Abo's on the northern regions of Australia actually had trade with and even hitched rides too, lands north of them. Remember that the North Sentinel Islanders have only been under constant observation by the global community for the last 50 years or so. Every contact prior to the 1960's consisted of the occasional British ship sailing up once a decade, taking a quick look around on the beach and immediately leaving. So no one really knows how much contact they were having with other tribal peoples (and through them the wider world) was happening.
Knowing the complex trade relations islanders had before European discovery, and that North Sentinel Island itself is part of an archipelago filled with inhabited islands with similar tribes that had trade with the asian mainland, it's easy to conceive that the Sentinalese had at least some semi-frequent trade interactions that would allow them to get the occasional shiny iron spearhead from an Andaman Islander or similar who themselves got it from trading with someone who themselves got it from Myanmar or towards Malaysia. Thus a lot of the Sentinalese's isolation may be in fact something that happened "too" them, because as we saw with the death of the old Polynesian trade routes, once everyone gets fancy fossil fuel powered boats and planes, and can get vast amounts of really good stuff from anywhere in the world, there's no reason to risk your life getting in an old rickety canoe to trade minuscule amounts of now worthless goods.

there has been numerous friendly interactions. it depends on who they elected as tribal leader.

the thing with north sentinel island is its the only island of any native tribe to be completely isolated from society in sense that gene pool on the island is unique they can drink and eat stuff that could cause us to vomit. we don’t even know what language they speak. the reason those other tribes are not is because they are not isolated on an island

Chucking spears at helicopters is a big clue they're not interested in talking to the outside world
>>

but they do accept coconuts and pans snd shit. after the 1880 British expedition on thr island it probably soured their views to outside
>>

You're going back 1880, they called some idiot who went there like last yard
>>
>>18530296
the 2025 incident? that idiot was retarded e celeb youtuber who wanted to stream himself on the island. from what i remember he got on the island, left a half drank diet coke bottle and a few gifts, but didn’t see anyone and fucked off

We have zero idea how long they've been without genetic inflow, and as I said their "isolation" is probably a somewhat recent development, as fellow Adamanese tribes (namely the Onge) have oral traditions of trading with them (specifically for metal) up until relatively recently. While we can't know their genetic makeup exactly without getting a blood sample from one (which we're not getting anytime soon), the fact they look exactly like every other Adamese people, share specific material culture signifiers with the Onge in particular, and have similar lifestyles, it's likely that are genetically unremarkable, and probably most closely related to the Onge in particular, and in fact it is most likely that they are some kind of offshoot of the Onge who settled the island. Their diet also isn't anything special. It's mostly shellfish and birds, which they roast over the fire like everyone else the world over did before agriculture. What's interesting is that they seem to have no idea about plant cultivation, while the Onge do.

Simple solution.
