There were many different ethnic European minorities across the African colonies, but millions had to flee as a result of decolonization. What would countries/regions like Algeria, Mozambique, Angola, Katanga, Zimbabwe, etc be like today if the colonials had stayed and the ratio of black/white landownership hadn't changed? Would it be better or worse for the locals and Europeans overall?
Africa wouldn't be shithole

>>18531244It would probably look like Rhodesia, being embargoed, hopelessly outmanned and outgunned in a neverending war against groups funded by foreign powers.
>>18531244>but millions had to fleeThat's a lie. We have yet to see any proof this is true.
>>18532897It's funny how africans would have loved Rhodesia if they hadn't been funded by George Soros into overthrowing it
>>18532936Millions fled, maybe not 'had to'. My mistake
>>18531244>What would countries/regions like Algeria, Mozambique, Angola, Katanga, Zimbabwe, etc be like today if the colonials had stayed and the ratio of black/white landownership hadn't changed? The first three would be on paper constituent parts of their homelands, with a high likelyhood of universal voting rights being granted before 1990. Portugal would be Europe's first majority Black nation.>KatangaImagine the DRC, but smaller and there's resentful flamands on top.>Zimbabwe,Imagine Rhodesia, but it lasts longer.>Would it be better or worse for the locals and Europeans overall? It would be terrible for the locals, and unpleasant for the colonists. The only two options would be continued colonial rule or Rhodesia like pariahs; Neither scenario paints a pretty picture. >>18532936The Bulk of those were Pied Noir, I'm not even sure the rest of that number even amounts for two million.
>>18532938This gentleman believes ZANU and ZAPU were funded by the Open Society Foundation(est. 1993) to overthrow Rhodesia. And no, they didn't love Rhodesia.
>>18532836>africa addio and it's sequel, empire of dust
>>18532834>>18532836Colonial economies were not really run or efficient. It was graft, corruption amd constant state intervention in bailing out failing companies or trying to create economic incentives that ultimately fail because of having to pander to deranged settlers and failsons trying to hustle.
>>18534097>with a high likelyhood of universal voting rights being granted before 1990I doubt that. Many colonial states had mechanics to delay and justify giving out voting rights. On top of that they could and did strip rights from people or forcibly prevented their return back to Africa if they were found to be a "threat". As for being majority Black they'd find some way to handwave it away or create a weird PR machine to paint itself in different light.>Imagine the DRC, but smaller and there's resentful flamands on top.Imagine the shit shitshows that would go whenever Belgium's parliament shuts down or the hyper pillarisation that would go on in the Congo. >>18534097>I'm not even sure the rest of that number even amounts for two million.Portugal's Retornados but they were over half a mill tops. Some didn't return to Portugal but moved elsewhere in Africa or went to another state.

>>18531244The only African countries that could possibly become majority european are Libya, Eritrea, and Namibia. The rest already had too large of populations to completely replace through settler colonialism.
