Was the Atlantic such a costly burden for the Bongs to travel and send logistics and troops through that the Revolution was a destined failure or could they realistically have won if they just had better tact and luck?
>>
It wasn't just them vs the Colonies, it was them vs the Colonies + Spain + France. They would be fighting an uphill battle regardless of logistics
>>
They had just faught the 7 years war and were bankrupt, they fielded a tiny budget army and lost because of atritional/asymetrical warfare

ranjeesh…

Britain could not devote too many military resources to the war; troops had to be left to watch Ireland and if the Royal Navy moves too many ships out of home waters, then France will take advantage to invade England.
>>
The biggest issue wasn’t the French or any of the other dumb excuses browns like to trot out to deflate Big Bad America. The biggest problem was there was a large contingent of Englishman sympathetic to the colonist’s cause.
