Nice cope bro The Saxons and Normans gave Britain it's "distinct identity". Britain was still heavily Romanized.

>And yet this failed rebellion stopped rome from further colonizing and latinising Britain
That's not true... If anything, it contributed to the island being latinized faster since so many Britons died.

The Great German Peasant's War.
Where hundreds of thousands of German peasants rose up in a huge energetic rebellion against the greedy and cruel old nobility and establish a Protestant utopia and got fucking raped to death for their efforts.
Dominated to the point that they literally couldn't do anything to resist and just got massacred immediately almost everywhere they started organizing.
After their revolt almost all nobles tightened up the legal codes and dispossessed the remaining peasants of even more lands and rights.
Even their hero Martin Luther turned on them and wrote a treatise on why every one of them should be butchered for their impertinence.

>Due to "decommunization policies" the street named after Suvorov in (Ukraine's capital) Kyiv was renamed after Mykhailo Omelianovych-Pavlenko in 2016. Suvorov is not related to communism, but his name was used by the Soviet Union for ceremonial purposes.

>In September 2022, a street that was named after Suvorov in Dnipro (Ukraine) was renamed to honor Alan Shepard.

>In October 2022, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russian troops captured a monument to Suvorov in Kherson and took it with them as they fled the city.

>In December 2022, another street in Kyiv that was still named after Suvorov was renamed to Serhiy Kotenko Street.

>In January 2023, an image of Suvorov on a monument was removed in Odesa.

>In Kherson the Suvorivskyi Raion (urban district), named after General Suvorov, was renamed to Tsentralnyi (Central) Raion in October 2023.

>Ireland, 1598
>Hugh O'Neill, a Gaelic lord raised by England to be "their man in Ulster" is betrayed; England plans to replace him as lord of Ulster with Henry Bagenal, an English colonist
>O'Neill had earlier asked to marry Bagenal's sister in order to keep the peace between them; Bagenal refused, and his sister eloped with the Irish lord
>O'Neill then joins (and leads) a war against England in Ireland; the aim being to completely remove English authority
>Bagenal is sent in to deal with him, as Marshal of the Royal Irish Army
>Marches an army of around 5,000 directly toward O'Neill, expecting to easily mop up an army; Irish troops were mostly known for their skirmish abilities rather than staying power on the field
>They arrive in County Armagh, and become aware that O'Neill has laid various ambushes
>Whatever, thinks Bagenal, they're just shitty Irish troops
>The moment they leave the town of Armagh, they come under fire
>what.avi
>Turns out O'Neill has modernised his Gaelic troops; almost all of them have firearms, specifically calivers
>they have guns AND they can move quickly and skirmish
>English troops start dying in droves as they try to march through the Irish countryside
>arrive at the "yellow ford", a boggy area
>english cannons get stuck, have to be abandoned
>find an empty undefended trench
>what.jpg
>pass over it, push onwards
>Irish attackfrom all sides
>gunfire shatters the English troops
>Irish cavalry then moves in to cut open gaps in the infantry
>Bagenal, panicking, calls for a retreat
>entire English army falls into chaos
>the empty trench from earlier was dug to prevent english cavalry from coming to their aid
>Bagenal is watching his army fall apart
>He tries to lead an attack to help them
>shot in the head, killed
>some retard also manages to detonate the entire english supply of gunpowder, killing even more
>mass desertions
>the few soldiers that survived limp back to armagh

might want to look at the bell-beaker "expansion". the narrative's scrawls are of peaceful trade, sharing and caring - but in 200 years 90% of the native men were pining for the fjords
