>Dragons didn't exist
>Atlantis isn't real
>The Emperor's New Groove was NOT based on any historical accounts of pre-contact Peru

The Timaeus dialogue says that the island of Atlantis was a passage to a continent beyond. How did the Greeks know there was a continent West of the Atlantic?
Where did the Basques come from? Why is their language and genetics unrelated to the peoples of the rest of Europe?
Why does every culture ever have accounts of dragons?

Because dragons are super cool and badass. Shame they aren't real though

when I was a kid I saw that animal planet mockumentary about dragons and genuinely thought they were real or a while

Pic related was one of my favorite books when I was in 3rd grade because I loved the illustrations and dragon lore and I wanted dragons to be real

I thought the gulf of Mexico was the crater left by the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs until I was 17.

Iirc it does not. It says Atlantis is as “great as Asia” meaning it was an island as large as Anatolia but this became morphed over the years to mean Atlantis was an island in Asia the continent

I recall a different book about dragons (could've been about monsters in general, I think it was about dragons thoguh) that had this illustration of an afghan "dragon" that looked like a wrinkly, blue, creepy looking snake guy that rode the water or the wind or something.

When you realize evolutuon is a lie promulgated by the devil you realize cavemen did fight dinosaurs

Well, that crater is (partially) in the gulf of mexico so I think it'd be easy to think this.

As a kid I thought that sharks were just a serious, historical navigation hazard. I had this weird book my dad got me about shark attack stories and grew up around the time jaws came out so I thought that sharks just fucking up boats and eating everyone was just something they did
