Would he still be hated if he hadn't done the Holodomor?Would people, besides NEO communists and Bernie Sanders socialists admire him?
Only antichrists cherish people who murder the Sons of God.
>>18535498This is like asking if Hitler would still be hated if he hadn't done the holocaust. And the answer is yes because he was a batshit insane leader whose actions destroyed Europe. Both of them were brutal dictators whose decisions resulted in the deaths of millions of people.
Stalin was literally and unironically the ideal ruler.
>>18535498>be me>reading literal wiki pages dedicated to other soviet war crimes > does not care cuz sharing is caringyes
>>18535806Yeah, what’s even the point of asking>would people still hate this warmongering mass killer if you removed one group of victims from his kill listBoth would still have their hands running with blood even if you scrubbed one finger clean
The Holodomor isn't even the main reason he is hated
The Holodomor isn't real, was never real, and there is literally zero evidence it was real, the opening of the Soviet Archives completely debunked it as a narrative, even turbo Anti-Communists like Robert Conquest had to concede it was Cold War Propaganda and not a real event. It's a narrative made up by seething butthurt Galician Ukrainians in Canada who were pissed the USSR won WW2.Also Stalin isn't hated because of the Holodomor, He was hated for two main reasons1: The West was terrified of a successful USSR, the USSR had gone from strength to strength under Stalin while the rest of the world suffered economic collapse, now had the largest and most experienced military on earth, so the West needed to paint that he and the USSR were "Worse than Hitler", especially since most people in the world genuinely loved Stalin and saw him as humanities greatest Hero post-WW2. Your average British person, American, Australian etc literally called him "Uncle Joe".2: Khrushchev came to power largely on the back of the support of regional directors, thus Khrushchev to secure his support base, basically wanted to hand over a lot more "benefits" to these regional directors, by decentralizing the USSR's production and planning to regional directors instead of central planning from major Soviet departments. To do this though he needed to sweep away basically all "Stalinist" Pro-Gosplan opposition, so he engaged in a massive smear campaign against Stalin, largely using Western anti-Communist propaganda narratives, while pinning basically everything actually shitty from the past 20 years on him and his allies while pretending Khrushchev and his allies were like the "inside opposition" secretly opposing Stalin, when in reality much of the shit pinned on Stalin was directly on Khrushchev and his supporters. This basically annihilated Stalin's reputation for good because it came from an "official" source. Despite it was just bullshit factionalism within the CPSU.
Reality is that Stalin was a tough leader, but he and Mao and arguably the single most successful leaders of the modern age. They led their countries through turmoil and strife that was just unthinkable, while being cut off from the global economies, and emerged as some of the most powerful countries on earth with average life indicators over doubling in every conceivable way.Stalin and Mao, like many 20th century and 19th century great leaders, led states that engaged in many atrocities and crimes, but you have to remember, these are people of the early 20th/19th centuries, a reality where major global fucking EMPIRES that call themselves EMPIRES exist and Race science was the norm and women were seen as subhuman 60IQ breeding sows, where the idea of "Agriculture" was dump more chemicals and fertilizer on the ground, it'll probably work out. PRC and USSR's "Crimes" though are massively exaggerated and frankly, were basically the norm of major powers of the era. Stalin's unpopularity is purely the result of a massive scale smear campaign that was carried out by geopolitical rivals and given legs by Factionalist smearing rivalries within the CPSU itself. There is a reason Mao's smear campaign is limited to the West, and he's still seen as a global hero across the global south and a hero of titanic proportions in China.https://thecharnelhouse.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Domenico-Losurdo-Stalin-History-and-Critique-of-a-Black-Legend.pdfGoes through systematically to show what shit about Stalin is backed up by the actual archival records, and what isn't. Also gives far more context to how insanely popular Stalin was globally before Khrushchev's political manoeuvring.
