I spent all day today researching aerial battles between the United States and Hungary in WWII.

It was really interesting for a while, but now that I've spent so much time on it, it really isn't that interesting.
This keeps happening with various historical subjects. I keep getting interested in some niche topic, spending an entire day researching it, then when I get enough information I largely lose interest and wonder why I spent so much time and effort on it in the first place.
There's really only I think three historical subjects that I've managed to maintain a consistent interest in for years.

Well? What are those 3 subjects?

I'm not going to share two because they're all I have, but one is Americans living in Japan from the period of 1848-1878.

That's ADHD. I'm not joking or mocking you. I do the same thing. Last week it was Victorian botanists. This week it's history of the corkscrew. Get yourself checked.

I think this is more normal than having an obsessive interest in the same subject over a long period of time.

Can it be ADHD if I spent an entire day focusing on a single subject?
>>

Eh, it's just fun. I really enjoyed my Late Antiquity and Ancient Greece phase, and after a brief Soviet Union phase (no, I'm not commie), I'm ready for my Korean War phase. I wonder what will catch my attention next, after I've read a dozen of books about it

What did you do the day before and the day after?
>>
>>18538933
I get abused, harassed, terrorized, threatened etc for literally anything I think or do as my mind gets raped by God and his tranny minions all day every day, anything I think about or read about is just used by God as an excuse to harass, terrorize, threaten and abuse me so it can be very hard to maintain any interest in anything

Habituation is defined as a decrease in sensitivity to repeated stimuli due to continued exposure, occurring at a neuronal level.

This is the history board, not a teenager mental health support forum.

I'm 31.
>>
>>18539946
No you're not
There's nothing weird about reading one subject and then moving to another one, that's ordinary

Yes I am.
