I notice how some STEM people (STEMlords) come onto this board to disparage the humanities as inferior & "midwit" tier.

>Why do they disparage the humanities?

And they also like to claim the humanities are practically useless.
>How are they useful other than for monetary gain?

Loved learning history as a kid but then that interest evolved to be humanities as a whole. Also loved science & may eventually consider going onto /sci/ as well.

People that are genuinely intelligent recognize the value in both the humanities & science & that they're interconnected. Only midwits will force a division between humanities & science. Plebs fail to recognize the value in either.

sour grapes. nothing more and nothing less.

>sour grapes.
Elaborate?

Humanities today has a reputation for pushing politically driven ideologies instead of seeking truth.
>>
>>18540786
Like left-wing ideologies?
Yeah meanwhile some STEM have a reputation for endorsing right-wing ideologies.

kill yourself, shitskin. this is a website for white people who speak English.

Stemchads don't disparage humanities per se, you'd be hard pressed to find a stem person who straight up dislikes history, music, or other social topics.
What stemchads mostly despise is non stem degrees and the vast chunk of social sciences, because they're pants on retarded yapping and popularity contests with no scientific method whatsoever. And what is a science without scientific principles? It isn't one.

I was kidding. Sour grapes is an idiom for belittling something that one desires yet cannot achieve.
>>
>>18540788
Like afrocentrism, for example, or the idea that there can be no biological reasons for the different behaviors of different races.

Social 'sciences' should technically be called Social studies, I agree with you on the part with how they lack scientific method.

That is retarded I have to admit.

STEMChads don't dislike the humanities. What we dislike are subhuman shit for brained christcucks screaming that the bible is the word of god and that the earth is a few thousand years old and that all humans descend from 6 people over only 4000 years despite all of those being objectively mathematically disproved.
Actual philosophy and humanities are great. But theology and apologetics are not philosophy.

So, in other words, Abrahamic Religions?

What about those marxist types that are in the social "sciences"?

Tbh humanities is kinda for midwit retards. The smartest are those who study analytic philosophy.

They don't. You see the same imbeciles spamming the same trash on /sci/ and those are the only types of threads they participate in, never anything technical. They're not STEM people, they're Amazing Atheism people.

You have dogshit in your head. You don't have any technical expertise about anything, so you wouldn't be able to tell who is posting where.
