I'm attempting to convey a difficult concept with text. Established factions are naturally biased towards their established identity. The aristocracy the upper class perceived or not will naturally justify itself - the lower class will also justify itself. And within both factions the desire to "defect" emerges as there will always be holes in each side's propaganda.

But that otherwise this would not happen. And also that societies ran by spiteful mutants tend to be miserable and produce nothing of value. Just look at the Soviet Union, they suffocated all of their artists in less than a few decades.
