Alvin Plantinga, William Lane Craig, Richard Swinburne, or David Bentley Hart?
I find funny how some people rede these and think they got Christianity. They ignore the Christ, and they rely on these people.
>>18541563It's because Christian philosophy and medieval christianity is seperate from the foundational belief system and is thus still appealing to those who don't care for the latter. That's because the bulk of Christian belief occured when people didn't read the bible, either because they were illiterate or because they weren't allowed. Thus western christianity could be thought of as a purely interpretive religion. The minute the majority of europeans actually read the bible was when it immediately fractured into civil dissolution as a unitary force, first by the reformation, then by the decreasing adoption rate of any denomination. Western Chrisitanity is basically Christian philosophy, modern bible thumping christians unironically have more in common with early semitic/roman followers than they do with their medieval/premodern counterparts.
>>18541563Because they are philosophers. Their focus is on the general philosophical concept of God rather than theology

>>18541576>they focus on what God is not
It’s impossible to reconcile universal salvation with Christ’s own words. Might as well make your own religion at that point.
