Question to mooslams If the Quran is the word of the final prophet, why should I ever listen to secondary texts, regardless of how “close” they might be or how “accurate they might be? As it seems that all the “scholars” that came after are just trying to tie these texts back to the Quran instead of coming up with an actual empirical methodology in doing so. Everytime someone’s example credible Hadiths, it boils down to “oh this guy was BFS’s with the prophet” or “this guys was his slave and cleaned his shitter for him so was constantly in his vicinity.’ And of course, that’s assuming that these texts were even truly written by the people they claim to have written them.It just seems that if I had to be some kind of Muzz, Quran’s would just make the most sense.

Everyone used either different canons, canons that are now lost to us, or different versions of our canon. If Islam is more foot-on-the-ground about this, then it would make zero sense for haiths to exist.
